Dear Brothers and Sisters from North District Council,
I am Jorell Santos from Upsilon Omega of the Rizal Provincial Council. Currently, I serve as the President of the Rizal Provincial Council and the Vice Chairman of the SRB Congress. It is with immense gratitude that I accept the role of COMELEC Chairman for your upcoming elections this November.
As we prepare for this important event, I want to remind everyone of the eligibility requirements outlined in our constitution and by-laws. According to Article VIII, Section 9, candidates must meet the following criteria:
A. Must be an Alumni member of SRB and possess a control number;
B. Must be a member in good standing, as certified by the Council Secretary and attested by the Chapter/Community Treasurer;
C. Must actually reside within the territorial jurisdiction of the Council;
D. Must not have been convicted by final judgment of any offense involving moral turpitude or otherwise imprisoned.
Additionally, I would like to draw your attention to Article VIII, Section 12 A, which states: "An impeached officer shall not be eligible to run for office at any time in the future."
Election Guidelines
To ensure a smooth election process, please adhere to the following guidelines:
1. Submission of Certificates of Candidacy: Candidates may now download and fill out the Certificate of Candidacy (COC) form at the following link: COC Form. Once completed, please submit the form directly to me via our email address at [email protected]. The deadline for submission is 11:59 PM on October 30th.
2. Submission of Email Addresses: Starting October 31st, all chapters are requested to provide five (5) email addresses to me via messenger or our email address [email protected]. Each chapter/community can only cast 5 votes to be fair to other chapters/communities that have fewer active members. This must be done by 5 PM on November 15th.
3. Voting Process: On November 16th at 8 AM, Google Forms will be sent to the email addresses provided by the chapters/communities. Voting will commence immediately and continue until 5 PM on the same day.
4. Counting and Validation: The counting and validation of votes will be conducted by me after 5 PM. The results, including the announcement of the new set of officers, will be made public during our tree planting service on November 17th.
It is crucial for us to uphold these standards to ensure the integrity of our elections and the continued success of our Council. I look forward to working with all of you during this process, and I am excited about the positive contributions we can make together.
Thank you for your trust and support. Let us make this election a fair and transparent process that reflects our values and commitment to our community.
Fraternally yours,
Jorell Santos
