As part of the Lenten season tradition, Karedad is the act of giving food in your neighborhood, embodying the spirit of generosity and selflessness during Lent. This tradition is a way of showing compassion and solidarity, providing nourishment to the less fortunate as a form of spiritual reflection and service. On April 18, 2025, the PDM Organization, led by President Clarissa Salle, initiated this meaningful tradition at Primero De Mayo, reaching out to the community with love and support.
Through Karedad, we learn the importance of charity, kindness, and humility. It teaches us that giving not only helps others but also enriches our own spiritual journey by reminding us of the value of selflessness and the true spirit of the season.
This event would not have been possible without the unwavering support of Kagawad Leonor Reyno Alfonso whose dedication to service and collaboration made this meaningful gathering a reality.
