Fun Fact #2 is something we all look forward to everyday! Delicious hot meals prepared with love and joy by our kitchen staff from fresh produce delivered by our partners! We are truly grateful for the work that goes into bringing these healthy dishes into our classrooms.

In Class 5, the geography of the Cordillera region is brought before the children as part of their Geography lessons. In Class 6, the children study about rocks and minerals, and learn about the karst landscapes in the Cordillera region. In Class 7, as part of their History class, they learn that the Ifugaos are a group of people who resisted the Spanish invasion and succeeded. For their culminating activity, our Class 7 and 8 students traveled all the way to Banaue, Ifugao, for their 5-day camp.

These teenagers hiked a long mountain trail to reach Guilot, a humble farm nestled in the mountains of Kinakin. At Guilot, they foraged and prepared their own food—from pounding rice to cooking chicken—all with their own willful hands. Even after tilling the rice terraces under the sun, their enthusiasm remained undeterred as they explored deep into the mountains to reach a majestic river.

After leaving Guilot, the class engaged in a cultural exchange with the students of Kinakin. The place was filled with beautiful songs from all of the children. Aside from music and dance, the class also learned the traditional crafts of rattan weaving and rice wine making. The time was too short for the class to immerse themselves in the rich culture of Ifugao!

The traditions the children witnessed have long been living in the land, and the community have been bearers of these stories. "Your stories are my stories." It is our hope that in time, these children will continue to carry these stories and keep them alive.

Habang patuloy tayong nabubuhay sa mundong ibabaw, patuloy rin ang pagkamangha natin sa araw, buwan, mga bituin, at mga planeta. Ngunit paano nga ba umiiral ang mga ito? Ating tuklasin ang Hiwaga ng Kalangitan.

Inihahandog ng Baitang 7 at 8 ang isang dula tungkol sa dalawang siyentista, na ang mga likha ang siyang lumutas sa mga misteryo, at nagbigay sa atin ng modernong pagtingin sa kalangitan.

Bawat ticket sale ay malaking tulong sa pagsuporta at pag-usbong ng self-produced student theater. Anyayahan ang mga kaibigan at pamilya para manood! Maaari ring magsponsor ng mga tiket.

The highlight of every edition of Peryang Pinoy are the class booths. Depending on the grade level, the booths are lovingly prepared by the parents and/or the teachers with the students. Each booth reflects the curriculum of the class. Every year, the community pours its energy and enthusiasm in the preparation of the class booths, which are consciously done with the children who will be coming to the perya in mind - from the stories, the games, the booth set-up, the prizes, the merchandise, everything - thus, creating a memorable experience for the children.

This year is no different. Not only do the class booths feature unique, exciting and handmade games but they open up a wonderful world of characters and adventures from our treasure trove of stories. The children are not just playing a perya game but they are going on an adventure with beloved characters from our own culture!

At the conclusion of the first-ever Waldorf Teachers’ Course, Rudolf Steiner laid out these four principles for the teachers:
