UPgrade Day 4: Kuya, “Para po!” sa Tandang Sora 🚌
The UPgrade 2026 Team headed to Barangay Tandang Sora, Quezon City, for the final day of its Greater Manila Area (World) Tour. The program was filled with joy as many CIEMer volunteers joined the activity and over eighty students participated.
UP CIEM, or the UP Circle of Industrial Engineering Majors, has always used its talents and knowledge not only inside the classroom but also for the common good, especially in helping students who aspire to pursue quality education. This is why its members are willing to give their time and effort to help students achieve their goals.
The Director of UPgrade, Mr. Gabriel Antonio Muyo, expressed his gratitude to the people who contributed to the success of the program. First, he thanked UP CIEM for trusting him with the role and for providing him with the team and resources he needed. He also thanked Mr. Adrian Dolera, Vice Chairperson for Academic Affairs, who served as his co-head and consultant throughout the journey of the program from preparation to its actual ex*****on.
He also expressed his gratitude to the UPgrade volunteers who served as proctors, mentors, hosts, documenters, and exam checkers for sharing their time and effort despite having their own responsibilities.
Lastly, he thanked the partner barangays, Barangay Fairview, Barangay Nagkaisang Nayon, Barangay Novaliches Proper, Barangay Santa Cruz in Antipolo, and Barangay Tandang Sora, for their support. He expressed how amazed he was to see people who truly value education and the future of their students.
UPgrade 2026 has come to an end, and the team hoped that the students have gained not only knowledge of the covered subjects but also inspiration from the shared experiences of the UPgrade team members.
