PRINCIPAL SUSPECT?

A school principal was arrested in an anti-illegal drug operation in Barangay Poblacion in Tagbina, Surigao del Sur last March 20, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) said.

The suspect is a 45-year-old male and is also serving as a Schools District Supervisor.

MARCOS APPROVES NEW SCHOOL CALENDAR TO FIX LEARNING GAPS

The government has approved a shift to a three-term school calendar starting 2026–2027, aiming to stabilize learning and address disruptions caused by climate and infrastructure challenges.

Nagbabala si Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. sa mga naniningil ng kontribusyon sa mga pampublikong paaralan, lalo na ngayong panahon ng graduation. Binigyang-diin ng Pangulo na mahigpit na ipinapatupad ang “No Collection Policy” upang hindi na madagdagan ang gastusin ng mga estudyante at kanilang pamilya.

Kasabay nito, tututukan din ng Pangulo ang kapakanan ng mga graduating students sa pamamagitan ng paglulunsad ng Serbisyo Fair sa March 25, sa pangunguna ng Sonny Angara at ng Department of Education. Layunin nitong matulungan ang mga magtatapos na estudyante na makahanap agad ng trabaho.
