Hello everyone π
It's been more than 3 years since we last posted on this page... π«£
The Etika Spirulina Philippines project still exists. We have just experienced challenges since the COVID which have forced us to review our organization and our ambitions.
The ambition to create spirulina farms in the Philippines has been put on hold for the time being due to a lack of manpower and resources. We actually had to abort one project due to COVID restrictions. Nevertheless, we are fortunate to have been able to work for the United Nations to set up two farm projects in Indonesia, which we are still supporting. π
Since we started, we have organized several spirulina solidarity distributions with Caritas Manila, Gawad Kalinga and Kusina ng Kalinga π±
A huge chance for our projects: there is already a spirulina farm in the Philippines with which we collaborate, Blue Eco Farm. This committed farm is producing high-quality spirulina, with low-temperature dehydration and great taste. π
Etika Philippines is positioning itself as an association for the democratization of spirulina as a solution to malnutrition and as a point of support and contact for accelerating this type of project among NGOs.
For more recent news:
A few weeks ago, Shilhi and Xavier visited our partner farm Blue Eco Farm in Rosario, Batangas and the incredible team of Claire Goirand! π
They donated several kilograms of spirulina, which will benefit members of the Kapatiran Kalusugan Kalikasan Movement through a distribution for several weeks.
Thank you Blue Eco Farm and Claire, Kapatiran Kalusugan Kalikasan Movement and Amalia for this beautiful project together ! π
We'll keep you informed with the results of the distribution within the next months! π€
