Perpetualite campus journalists from both The Blue Pen and Ang Balangkas have made their mark at the DSPC 2026, earning recognition in their respective individual categories.

MPHSI proudly celebrates its three individual category awardees, with one representing The Blue Pen and two representing Ang Balangkas:

🏅 Althea Joyce Ibarrientos – 10th Place, Mobile Journalism

🏅 Cassandra Collins – 17th Place, Editorial Cartooning

Through relentless training, dedication, and demanding schedules, these campus journalists have demonstrated their perseverance and commitment to campus journalism. Their achievements have brought honor and recognition to both themselves and their school, marking their place among Quezon City's accomplished campus journalists at the DSPC 2026.

The MPHSI English TVB team has done it again—finishing in the top six and being recognized as one of the best TV broadcasting teams during the Division School Press Conference (DSPC) Secondary Level awarding ceremony held at San Bartolome High School on October 3, 2026.

The members of the TV broadcasting team were the following campus journalists, who had previously qualified for the DSPC during the awarding ceremony at Good Shepherd Cathedral School after placing third in the competition.

October 5th is a day to honor and acknowledge our teachers. The people who guide and care for us, and who patiently teach us the things we do not yet know so that we can learn, grow, and become better versions of ourselves.

Approximately 64 private schools, with the theme “Bright as Stars, Greatness through Unity,” gathered at Robinsons Novaliches, Quezon City. Nervous and excited, but all participants were ready when they presented their well-prepared masterpieces.

𝗠𝗼𝗝𝗼 | 𝗠𝗬 𝗙𝗔𝗩𝗢𝗨𝗥𝗜𝗧𝗘 𝗦𝗨𝗕𝗝𝗘𝗖𝗧

What makes a subject stand out to a student? For some, it may be the lessons they enjoy, the activities they look forward to, or simply the topics that spark their curiosity.

On September 23, The Blue Pen interviewed Elementary students to find out which subjects they enjoy most and what makes them their favorites.

Students were asked, “What is your favorite subject and why?” Their answers reflected a variety of interests, from subjects that challenge them to think to those that allow them to explore, create, and have fun while learning.

Each response offers a glimpse into the different ways students experience and enjoy learning inside the classroom.

𝗠𝗼𝗝𝗼 | 𝗠𝘆 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿, 𝗠𝘆 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗼

As the Teacher’s Day approaches, The Blue Pen featured students who shared their perspectives on the qualities they believe that make the teachers memorable and impactful.

During an interview conducted on September 23, 2026, at Mother of Perpetual Help School, students identified endless patience, compassion, and understanding as qualities that make their teachers extraordinary.

Students offered different answers to what makes a teacher truly extraordinary—revealing that a teacher’s greatest “superpower” may not be found in a textbook, but in the way they guide, inspire and support their students.

ADVISORY - Health and Wellness Break will be observed from October 5-9.

No ASYNCHRONOUS Tasks will be given. Time shall be used for recovery of students and personnel to return to school healthier and safer.

Classes and Term Examination will resume on Monday, October 12, 2026.
