Maligayang Araw ng Pagbigay-pansin sa Espektro ng Mga Walang-Suyo (Aromantic Spectrum Visibility Day)!

Itong ika-25 ng Agosto ay ang Araw ng Pagbigay-pansin sa Espektro ng Mga Walang-Suyo, isang pagdiriwang ng mga pagkakakilanlan sa buong espektro ng mga walang-suyo.

Mula sa mga bayang nagsasalita ng German—tulad ng Austria, Germany, at Switzerland—kumalat ito sa buong daigdig. Maging hallo, hello, o kamusta, ang mga hadlang ng wika ay nasira at nabuksan.

Lahat ng bakla at mga kasama ay inaanyayahang itaas ang espektro sa iba’t ibang paraan, at alalahanin ang kaniyang kasaysayan at ang patuloy na laban para sa pagkilala.

Sa araw na ito at araw-araw, ang Aromantic and Asexual Support Philippines ay tumatayo sa kaniyang layon na palakasin ang boses at pagkatao ng mga walang-suyo. Danke schön, thank you, at salamat!

Happy Aromantic Spectrum Visibility Day!

This 25th of August marks Aromantic Spectrum Visibility Day, a time where identities across the aromantic spectrum are lifted up and celebrated.

Despite tracing its origins from the German-speaking countries of Austria, Germany, and Switzerland, it has grown to be a worldwide affair for everyone to honor. Whether it be hallo, hello, or kamusta, the barriers of language are broken and opened.

With no reservation, q***r people and q***r allies are encouraged to bring awareness to the aromantic spectrum through any means, highlighting its history and the fight towards greater recognition.

From today and every day moving on, Aromantic and Asexual Support Philippines stands closely with its mission to amplify aromantic voices and aromantic people. Danke schön, thank you, and salamat!

KATANUNGANG ASPEC: Paano magiging mas mabuting allies ang mga magulang sa kanilang mga aspec na anak?

Tinanong namin ang komunidad ng AASP, at nabanggit ng marami ang iba't ibang uri ng gawa at pakikisama ng mga magulang upang maidiwang at mapalakas ang kanilang mga anak. Payo ng mga kabahagi ng komunidad sa mga magulang: huwag pilitin ang mga kamag-anak na magpakasal o magkaroon ng jowa. May mga nagsulat rin tungkol sa pagtulong sa mga anak sa pagkilala sa sarili at sa ano mang pinagdadaanan.

ASPEC QUESTION: How can parents be better allies to their aspec children?

We asked this to members of the AASP community, and many talked about the many types of fulfillments and relationships that parents should celebrate and support with their kids. Community members advised parents not to pressure their family to get married or get into a relationship with someone. Some also talked about supporting their children as they learn about themselves and go through hardships.

What are your thoughts? How else can parents better support their aspec children?
