Awareness begins when we become willing to listen not only to what we already know, but also to the experiences we have yet to understand.

Through the ๐—˜๐—ค๐—จ๐—”๐—Ÿ๐—œ๐—ง๐—˜๐—”๐—–๐—› ๐—ช๐—˜๐—•๐—œ๐—ก๐—”๐—ฅ, the GAD Club took part in a meaningful conversation about SOGIESC, inclusivity, and the LGBTQIA+ community. More than simply gaining information, the discussion encouraged us to look deeper into how our words, actions, and assumptions can affect the people around us. ๐Ÿณ๏ธโ€๐ŸŒˆ๐Ÿค

One of the most important lessons we carry with us is that ๐˜ช๐˜ฏ๐˜ค๐˜ญ๐˜ถ๐˜ด๐˜ช๐˜ท๐˜ช๐˜ต๐˜บ ๐˜ด๐˜ต๐˜ข๐˜ณ๐˜ต๐˜ด ๐˜ธ๐˜ช๐˜ต๐˜ฉ ๐˜ถ๐˜ฏ๐˜ฅ๐˜ฆ๐˜ณ๐˜ด๐˜ต๐˜ข๐˜ฏ๐˜ฅ๐˜ช๐˜ฏ๐˜จ. It asks us to question stereotypes, respect differences, and create spaces where people do not have to hide parts of themselves just to feel accepted.

As a Gender and Development Club, we are reminded that our advocacy does not end when the webinar ends. It continues in the way we speak, the way we treat others, and the choices we make when we see unfairness or discrimination.
