This New Year 2026, let’s move beyond promises and take purposeful action:

🚫 REFUSE
Say no to single-use plastics and unnecessary packaging. What we refuse today prevents pollution tomorrow.

➖ REDUCE
Be mindful of what you consume—less waste, less energy use, less harm to the planet. Sustainability starts with conscious choices.

🔁 REUSE
Choose reusable bags, bottles, containers, and utensils. Reusing extends the life of materials and reduces waste at the source.

Ang Pasko ay panahon ng pagbibigayan, hindi ng pagsasayang. Habang nagsasalo-salo tayo kasama ang pamilya at mga kaibigan, alalahanin nating ang kalikasan ang patuloy na nagbibigay sa atin, ng pagkain, tirahan, at kinabukasan. 🌱

Bawat pagkaing hindi sinayang,
bawat basurang itinapon nang tama,
bawat gamit na muli nating pinakinabangan,
ay simpleng hakbang na may malaking epekto.

The Makakalikasan Volunteer Awards is an annual recognition program honoring the individuals and partner organizations whose service, commitment, and shared values continue to advance the mission of Makakalikasan Project Philippines, Inc. (MPPI).

Makakalikasan Project Philippines joined the QC Eco Run 2025 held last November 29, 2025 at the Quezon City Hall Risen Garden, serving as volunteer Eco-Marshals. Represented by MPPI Program Manager Ms. Melyka, MPPI Field Coordinator Benedict, and other committed Makakalikasan volunteers, we helped guide participants, maintain order, and promote eco-friendly practices throughout the event.

This year’s QC Eco Run gathered around 12,000 runners for the 5K and 10K categories — a strong display of community spirit, health awareness, and support for a greener, more sustainable Quezon City.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Bayanihan QC Team and the Quezon City Government for organizing a meaningful and impactful environmental event.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗼𝗲𝘀! 🌾🍚

From the soil to the sea, the agriculture sector continuously provides tables with food and natural resources, delivering the healthiest nutrition that feeds the entire nation. Today, we honor farmers, fisherfolk, and the entire agricultural sector for their relentless work.

This August 25, our Modern Day Heroes deserve recognition for their unwavering commitment to serving the world with nutrients. Despite the weather, scorching heat, winds, and fury of the oceans, these Modern Day Heroes exhibit greater strength, courage, and resilience.

May this day ignite advocacy that also addresses their needs—dignity to live with access to every resource. For the Modern Day Heroes should never have to work to feed the nation while being deprived of basic access to nutritious food and fair wages.

𝐎𝐧 𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝟔, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓, we celebrate the heartbeat of the world—Farmworker Appreciation Day! This day honors the tireless efforts of those who provide sustainable resources and feed the nation. It traces its roots to the Filipino farmers in California who, during the 1960s labor movements in the United States, endured harsh conditions and low pay while fighting for dignity and justice.

It is a powerful reminder of the resilience, hard work, and unwavering commitment of farmers—the often unpaid heroes of our nation—who rise before dawn to cultivate the land and sustain our communities. The agriculture sector is the backbone of our food system, and its workers deserve recognition and respect.

Let this day raise awareness of the vital role farmworkers play in our society. Let it be a call to action: Filipino farmworkers deserve fair wages, proper support, and the respect they’ve long earned.
