On Friday, February 7, the Parenting Cluster held an empowering session entitled 𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐆𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐆𝐞𝐭𝐬 𝐓𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡, 𝐆𝐫𝐢𝐭 𝐆𝐞𝐭𝐬 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐆𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠: 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 at the Mercedarian School, Inc. in Novaliches, Quezon City.

The seminar brought together parents, teachers, and school staff to explore practical strategies for nurturing "grit" and emotional endurance in the youth. The discussion centered on 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐬𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦 𝐛𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐡𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐦 and 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐬𝐲𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜e focusing on how competence, coping skills, and control can help students navigate modern challenges.

On Thursday, February 19, the Parenting Cluster conducted a two-hour talk entitled “𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐀𝐜𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝” at the Jesus Son of Mary Academy in Dasmariñas, Cavite. This was attended by more or less 360 participants.

Last Saturday, January 17, our RMT‑CEFAM facilitator conducted a half‑day talk entitled “𝘽𝙪𝙞𝙡𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙍𝙚𝙨𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝘼𝙘𝙘𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙩𝙖𝙗𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙞𝙣 𝙔𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝘾𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙙” at the Immaculate Conception School of Baliuag (ICSB) in Bulacan.

The session was attended by approximately 56 parents and guardians of Grade 8 to 10 students, together with ICSB teachers and school personnel.

The talk provided parents with 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗻 𝗱𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆. It also served as an opportunity to strengthen the school’s commitment to working hand in hand with parents for the well‑being of its students.

Earlier this month, on November 8, our RMT-CEFAM Facilitator conducted a half-day talk entitled “𝙀𝙛𝙛𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙁𝙖𝙢𝙞𝙡𝙮” at the Immaculate Conception School of Baliuag (ICSB) in Baliuag, Bulacan.

Today, on Fr. Ruben M. Tanseco, SJ’s birthday, we remember the heart behind CEFAM’s mission. His incredible vision took root and blossomed into CEFAM—a home dedicated to the psycho-spiritual care of individuals, couples, and families.

The spirit of care, wholeness, and family remains alive—not only in our programs, but in the people who carry them forward. To this day, the zeal for serving, caring, and accompanying others has not wavered.

To our volunteers, staff, benefactors, and collaborators: you are the living legacy. Every hour given, every story held, every step taken in service of others reflects the love Fr. Tanseco believed in so deeply.
