15 KITCHENS, 5,000 HOT MEALS FOR PAMPANGA 🩷

Kusina ng Pag-asa, a multi-stakeholder initiative of Angat Buhay that strengthens community-based food response systems, has activated 15 community kitchens to prepare and distribute 5,000 hot meals for families in Pampanga who continue to be affected by flooding.

Joining this response are Urban Chick Maginhawa, Puesto Modern Mexican Comfort Food, IKIRU Japanese Kitchen and Cafe, Black Betty Diner, Maginhawa Eco-Store, Friuli Trattoria, Lorie’s Cafe, Roberta Flavors of Asia, Noki Japanese Fried Chicken ノキ, Curio MNL, Takoyakiks Sikatuna Village QC, Rocco's Charcoal Brick Oven Pizza, Goto Believe, Chop-Chopan Maginhawa, and The Sanctuary Cafe and Bar.

Grateful to the Jollibee Group Foundation for standing in solidarity with Angat Buhay and our communities as this response continues.

Kusina ng Pag-asa is supported by ASA Philippines Foundation and implemented in partnership with the Maginhawa Food Community, mobilizing restaurants, community kitchens, and food sector partners to provide timely and dignified access to hot meals during emergencies.

Environmental groups and advocates marked the start of Japan's Taiji dolphin hunt season by unveiling a solidarity mural at UP Diliman calling for an end to dolphin captivity. Organized by Earth Island Institute Asia Pacific (EII-AP) with support from partner organizations including the Maginhawa Food Community, the Art Attack: Dolphin Mural Action transformed the PAUW UP Child Study Center into a public artwork advocating for marine mammal conservation and ethical wildlife tourism. 🍃🐬
