🏆🎉 Sports Days 2026 at ALC !!!! 🎉🏆

What a week it’s been at Assumption Language College - ALC ! Our annual Sports Days brought energy, laughter, and a whole lot of team spirit to school, and this year’s competition was one for the books !

The four legendary teams went head-to-head :
🔥 Punctuation Pros
⚡ Sentence Slayers
💪 Vocabulary Warriors
🌟 Idiom Idols

Over two action-packed half-days, our students battled it out across a variety of sporting challenges ! From high-energy races to team-based games, every event was filled with cheers, friendly rivalry, and unforgettable moments !

But beyond the points, the podiums, and the playful bragging rights, what truly stood out was the incredible sense of togetherness ! Students encouraged one another, celebrated victories together, and showed true sportsmanship every step of the way !

These Sports Days weren’t just about competition, they were about connection ! They strengthened bonds between classmates, created new friendships, and reminded us all that teamwork makes everything more fun (and a little less tiring 😉).

At ALC, we’re proud to be more than just a language school. Yes, we teach grammar, punctuation, idioms and vocabulary, but we also believe in building confidence, community, and collaboration. Events like this show that learning goes far beyond the classroom walls.

!!! THANK YOU TEACHER JOHN !!!

Today, we pay tribute to Teacher John Recabar for his remarkable 16 years of dedicated service at Assumption Language College - ALC !!

John first joined ALC as a teacher, where he quickly distinguished himself through his professionalism, rigor, and deep commitment to his students. Over the years, he took on the additional responsibility of Academic Director, embracing leadership with the same integrity, enthusiasm, and sense of purpose that have always defined him !!

Throughout his time at ALC, John has been a pillar of our institution. He played a central role in the college’s development and growth, and he greatly contributed to the design and implementation of a robust and effective pedagogy in language learning. His vision and standards helped shape a learning environment where excellence isn't only encouraged but expected !

John has always demanded the very best from his students and from the teachers he managed. Yet, he did so with unwavering good humor and extraordinary humanity. His continuous positive spirit, kindness, and genuine care for others have left a lasting mark on our community.

As Henry Adams once said, “A teacher affects eternity; he can never tell where his influence stops.”
This quote perfectly reflects John’s impact at ALC ! His influence extends far beyond classrooms and offices, it lives on in the confidence, skills, and aspirations of the many students and colleagues he has guided.

We are proud to share that John is now beginning a new chapter as School Manager of the Stephen Zuellig Graduate School of Development Management at the Asian Institute of Management.

While we will greatly miss his presence at ALC, we are confident that he will bring the same excellence, leadership, and humanity to his new role !

On behalf of all ALC students and alumni, the Assumption Language College Foundation wishes Teacher John a wonderful continuation of his career, much happiness, and every success, both professionally and personally !!!!

This January, the Philanthropic Department Office (PDO) is delighted to wish a very happy, prosperous, and successful New Year 2026 to all Alumni and friends of Assumption Language College - ALC!!!!!!!!

This year will be a very important and exciting one for both ALC and the PDO, as it will mark the launch of several new projects aimed at strengthening our mission, expanding our impact, and serving our community even better!
