'GINAMIT LANG TALAGA NILA AKO'

Former Marine and surprise witness Orly Guteza alleged in a sworn affidavit dated Aug. 13 that Sen. Rodante Marcoleta and former Anakalusugan Rep. Mike Defensor orchestrated his appearance at the Sept. 25, 2025, Senate hearing, where he was allegedly promised money and scholarships for his children in exchange for reading a prepared affidavit.

Guteza has retracted his testimony before the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee that he delivered suitcases of cash to the residence of former House Speaker Martin Romualdez, saying the account was fabricated.

Guteza said he was persuaded by what he described as “sweet promises” from Defensor and Marcoleta.
