Delicious Noise is an exploration of the visual clutter we usually ignore. To a busy eye, the cracks in the sidewalk, the peeling paint, and the erosion of concrete are not eyesores—they are eye candy.

This collection translates that chaotic energy into a tactile experience by transferring photos onto organic, informally shaped clay bases. By breaking away from traditional rigid frames and structured compositions, these raw, unpredictable pieces bridge the gap between sight and touch.

Within the chaotic society that we are living in, this fast-paced, busy life often blinds us to our surroundings. This exhibition serves as a physical reminder that we need to slow down to think and act better. Delicious Noise invites you to pause your momentum, look closer, and find the sweet, addictive patterns hidden within the beautiful obstructions of our everyday urban landscape.

There is much history that can be embedded on ordinary objects. A memory that seeps deep in the contours of a chair, molded by the weight of the bodies that it once carried, or the frames that used to house a long gone, captured image.

In time, the context of the object in someone’s memory gradually shifts. What was once an ordinary item that holds no significant value may become a memento of the things and the era of a lived experience. An altar for nostalgia or maybe a clump of forgetting that now forces us into a regretful remembrance.

In these set of works, what’s apparent is the cluster of cockroaches that almost cover the surface of these ordinary objects to the point of an infestation. A colony of vermin that overruns a thing and hijacks it’s identity and image where it will eventually turn it into a shell of it’s former self. It’s substance drained and replaced until there is nothing more but the inevitable decay.

The infested frames suggests the idea that the act of mere looking can be compromised, as a plot in a bigger story can be boxed in and made significant in order to divert the attention from the bigger picture. The chair that offers respite in it’s original purpose is now stripped of the idea that it is for rest and comfort as it is now colonized by a creature that makes our skin crawl.

Such idea of transplanting an object’s narrative and history plays into the current climate of our time. Where right and wrong now overlaps, the truth is merely an option and reality is bent for certain outcomes.
