Barangay Silangan Gender and Development Summit & Empowerment

The Barangay Silangan Gender and Development Summit & Empowerment was convened to recognize the invaluable contributions of women leaders, officers, and members of civil society organizations whose dedication and exemplary practices have significantly advanced community development.
The program commenced with the singing of the National Anthem, followed by an invocation led by Ms. Anarita T. Cortez, Board of Directors of the Solo Parents Association. Kagawad Ariane Bulabos delivered the welcome address, extending heartfelt greetings to the guests and participating organizations.

Keynote Address
The guest speaker, Ms. Carmella Feliciano, Barangay Coordinator from BCRD, delivered an inspiring keynote message. She emphasized the importance of empowerment, inclusivity, and grassroots leadership in fostering sustainable progress within the community.
Recognition of Service
Barangay Chairman Kap. B**g Villarba led the recognition ceremony, presenting Certificates of Appreciation to all organization officers. This gesture underscored their role as indispensable partners in advancing the welfare of Barangay Silangan.
Major Awards
Three distinguished awards were conferred to outstanding individuals whose contributions exemplify leadership and advocacy:
• Exemplary Grassroots Innovation Award – Ms. Erica Mae Pelaez
• Inspiring Women Advocate Award – Ms. Julie Flor Pangilinan
• Outstanding Community Leadership Award – Ms. Maria Helia B**galbal

Barangay Treasurer Mr. Jomer Sotto delivered a motivational message, encouraging organizations to sustain their commitment to service and advocacy.
Punong Barangay Kap. B**g Villarba concluded the summit with an inspirational address, expressing profound appreciation to all associations and urging them to continue leading and inspiring for the betterment of every member of Barangay Silangan. Her message reaffirmed the collective vision of building a progressive and empowered.
