𝘾𝘼𝙇𝙇𝙀𝘿 𝘽𝙔 𝙉𝘼𝙈𝙀

Mary came to the tomb grieving, but Jesus called her by name—and everything changed. She became the first to proclaim, “I have seen the Lord!”

Like Mary, we may carry brokenness or sorrow, but Jesus sees us, knows us, and gives us purpose.

You are not forgotten. Jesus knows your name.

PRAYER

Forgive us, Lord, when we become so consumed by our burdens and worries that we forget You care for us, You are beside us, and You are for us.

Thank you for knowing me by name, seeing my heart, and loving me completely. Help me rest in the truth that I am never forgotten or unseen by You, and guide me to live each day for your glory. Amen

𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝙒𝙄𝘿𝙊𝙒 𝙁𝙍𝙊𝙈 𝙕𝘼𝙍𝙀𝙋𝙃𝘼𝙏𝙃 𝙋𝘼𝙍𝙏 2: 𝙂𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙛 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙃𝙤𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙩 𝙌𝙪𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨

When tragedy strikes or life deals us a crushing blow, we often ask a similar question: "Why me?"

Sometimes, beneath that question is another one we may not even say out loud: "Is God punishing me? Is this happening because of my sin?"

The widow thought that way. She assumed her son's death was God's way of bringing her sins back before her. Many of us have wrestled with that same fear.

But is that how God relates to us?

Yes, sin has consequences, but the heart of the gospel is not that God is looking for ways to punish us. Instead, He is the One who took our punishment upon Himself. Through Jesus Christ, God bore our sin so that we could receive forgiveness, grace, and new life.

The story ends not in judgment but in restoration. After Elijah cried out to the Lord, the widow's son was brought back to life. What seemed like the end became a testimony of God's power and compassion.

That points us to Jesus. He came not to condemn us but to save us. Through His death and resurrection, He redeemed us so that we may have life—not only here on earth but also for eternity with Him.

So the next time your heart asks, "𝑾𝒉𝒚 𝒎𝒆?", remember His promise in John 10:10:

"I have come that they may have life, and have it abundantly."

Our circumstances may still bring pain, but God's final word over those who belong to Him is not condemnation—it is life.

𝗪𝗶𝗱𝗼𝘄 𝗼𝗳 𝗭𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗵𝗮𝘁𝗵: 𝗙𝗜𝗡𝗗𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗣𝗨𝗥𝗣𝗢𝗦𝗘

God meets ordinary people in extraordinary need, inviting them into a faith that grows through obedience, daily dependence, honest lament, and experienced provision.

We saw the vulnerability of the widow from Zarephath who is among the marginalized during her times. But we also saw how God used her and how she trusted and obeyed God by sharing and sacrificing what she believed as her last meal to Elijah, God's prophet.

The flour and oil are multiplied all at once but they are sustained day after day.

This echoes themes such as daily bread and dependence on God rather than accumulated abundance.


1 Kings 17:14

14 For this is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: ‘The jar of flour will not be used up and the jug of oil will not run dry until the day the Lord sends rain on the land.’”

Hannah's story in 1 Samuel 1 reminds us that God sees the deepest desires of our hearts. Burdened by years of unanswered prayers, she came before the Lord with honesty, humility, and faith. Instead of giving up, Hannah poured out her heart to God, trusting Him even before she saw the answer. Her prayer teaches us that God welcomes hearts that depend on Him completely.

When God blessed Hannah with a son, Samuel, she remembered her promise and dedicated him back to the Lord. Hannah understood that every blessing comes from God and belongs to Him. Her response was not to hold tightly to what she had received but to worship God with gratitude and surrender. Giving is an act of trust that acknowledges God as the source of every good gift.

Are you preparing an offering? We can follow Hannah's example by giving with thankful hearts. Our offering is more than a financial gift—it is an expression of worship, faith, and gratitude. Whether our gift is large or small, God looks at the willingness of our hearts. Just as Hannah honored God with what He had entrusted to her, we too can honor Him through our generosity.

May our giving today reflect our confidence that God is faithful to provide, guide, and care for us. As we place our offerings before Him, let us do so with joy, knowing that He uses every act of faithful generosity for His glory and the blessing of others.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your faithfulness and for every blessing You have entrusted to us. Receive our offering as an act of worship - time, treasure and talent. Use them to advance Your kingdom and bring hope to many lives. In Jesus' name, Amen.

The widow in Luke 18 had no power, influence, or status, yet she possessed something stronger—𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗳𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗵. Though the judge neither feared God nor cared about people, she refused to stop pleading for justice. Her persistence eventually moved the judge to act. Jesus shared this parable to teach us that we "should always pray and not give up" (Luke 18:1).

Many of us grow weary when prayers seem unanswered. We pray for healing, restoration in our families, breakthroughs at work, peace in our communities, and righteousness in our nation. As the days pass without visible change, discouragement can quietly replace hope. Yet the persistent widow reminds us that faith continues knocking even when the door has not yet opened.

Jesus then turns our attention to the character of God. In verse 6 and 7, He asks us to consider this: if an unjust judge eventually responds, how much more will our loving and righteous Heavenly Father hear the cries of His children who call to Him day and night? God is never indifferent to our pain. He sees every injustice, hears every prayer, and will act according to His perfect wisdom and timing.

Our world is filled with corruption, conflict, injustice, and brokenness. Our homes and workplaces may also carry burdens that seem too heavy to bear. Instead of surrendering to fear or hopelessness, Jesus invites us to persevere in prayer. Every sincere prayer is an act of trust that declares God is still in control, even when circumstances seem unchanged.

Let us learn from the unnamed widow. She was remembered not because of her position, but because of her unwavering persistence. If we long to see God move in our lives, our families, our workplaces, and our nation, let us keep praying and never give up. Faith does not quit because it knows that God is faithful.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for reminding us to pray and never lose heart. Forgive us for the times we have become discouraged and stopped believing that You are at work. Strengthen our faith to keep seeking You day and night. We lift to You our families, our workplaces, our leaders, and our nation. Bring justice where there is corruption, peace where there is conflict, hope where there is despair, and healing where there is brokenness. Help us trust in Your perfect timing, knowing that You hear every prayer and will always do what is right. Teach us to persevere with confident faith until Your purposes are fulfilled. In Jesus' name, Amen.

𝑯𝒖𝒎𝒃𝒍𝒆 𝑶𝒖𝒓𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒗𝒆𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑶𝒃𝒆𝒚𝑩𝑹𝑬𝑨𝑲𝑻𝑯𝑹𝑶𝑼𝑮𝑯 𝑯𝑨𝑷𝑷𝑬𝑵𝑺 𝑾𝑯𝑬𝑵 𝑾𝑬 𝑭𝑶𝑳𝑳𝑶𝑾 𝑮𝑶𝑫'𝑺 𝑾𝑨𝒀
Text: 2 Kings 5: 1-19

𝙋𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙘𝙞𝙥𝙡𝙚𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝘽𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙠𝙩𝙝𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝

1. 𝑨𝒅𝒎𝒊𝒕 𝑶𝒖𝒓 𝑵𝒆𝒆𝒅 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑳𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒏

The story began with Naaman, the commander of the Syrian army, who was afflicted with leprosy. Although he held a position of great power, influence, and authority, his path to healing began through the suggestion of an unnamed servant girl. God used someone the world considered insignificant to point a powerful man toward his breakthrough.

2. 𝑯𝒖𝒎𝒃𝒍𝒆 𝑶𝒖𝒓𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒗𝒆𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑶𝒃𝒆𝒚

The prophet Elisha instructed Naaman to wash in the Jordan River seven times, promising that he would be healed. At first, Naaman was offended because God's solution did not match his expectations. He nearly walked away in anger, but after his servant urged him to obey the prophet's simple instruction, he humbled himself and followed through. As a result, he was completely healed.

It takes humility to obey, especially when we are accustomed to giving commands rather than receiving them. God's breakthrough often comes through simple acts of obedience rather than impressive displays of power.

3. 𝑾𝒐𝒓𝒔𝒉𝒊𝒑 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑮𝒐𝒅 𝒐𝒇 𝑶𝒖𝒓 𝑩𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒌𝒕𝒉𝒓𝒐𝒖𝒈𝒉

Before his healing, Naaman did not know the God of Israel. His miraculous healing became undeniable evidence of God's power and reality. In response, he renounced his former pagan beliefs and declared that there is no God except the God of Israel. His breakthrough did not end with physical healing—it led to a transformed heart and a life of worship.

God is gracious to those who come to Him in faith. He meets people where they are and draws them into a deeper relationship with Him. Every breakthrough should ultimately lead us to worship the One who made it possible.

𝘽𝙍𝙊𝙆𝙀𝙉𝙉𝙀𝙎𝙎 𝙁𝙍𝙊𝙈 𝙄𝙉𝙁𝙄𝙍𝙈𝙄𝙏𝙔 𝙏𝙊 𝙒𝙃𝙊𝙇𝙀𝙉𝙀𝙎𝙎 𝙄𝙉 𝘾𝙃𝙍𝙄𝙎𝙏

Truths to remember as God heals:

1. Jesus sees our brokenness when others had passed and had overlooked us.

2. Healing is a gift of grace that requires response of faith. God's healing power is beyond any infirmity (weakness, disability, helplessness, disappointments, and hopelessness).

3. Jesus restores us to wholeness - body, dignity, purpose and freedom.

4. As Jesus frees us from our infirmities and restores us, He calls us to live in holiness.

𝗜𝗻 𝗯𝗿𝗼𝗸𝗲𝗻𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀, 𝗚𝗼𝗱 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱𝘀.

The number of believers in the early church after Pentecost continued to grow. However, when persecution began, fear and uncertainty gripped the church following Stephen's ex*****on.

Yet as the believers were scattered, they proclaimed the Word wherever they went.

God can use trials to accomplish His purpose and advance the proclamation of His Word. Like the early church, may we also persevere in sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ. For when Christ is faithfully proclaimed, lives are touched and transformed.

Jesus is still in the business of healing. More than physical healing, He also admonishes us to sin no more after being healed. Our Great Physician is after wholeness in all areas of our being. Come to Him broken, then get up, pick up your pallet and walk (John 5:8).

𝑯𝑶𝑾 𝑫𝑶 𝑾𝑬 𝑷𝑹𝑨𝒀 𝑭𝑶𝑹 𝑶𝑼𝑹 𝑵𝑨𝑻𝑰𝑶𝑵?

1. 𝙍𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙢𝙗𝙚𝙧 𝙬𝙝𝙤 𝙂𝙤𝙙 𝙞𝙨.
God 's name reveals His power to save and His authority to judge. Before we pray for our nation, we must first stand in awe of the God of the Bible.

2. 𝙍𝙚𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙣 𝙩𝙤 𝙂𝙤𝙙.
A nation cannot expect God's blessing while turning away from Him. Revival begins with repentance. We must humble ourselves, confess our sins, abandon our murmuring, and return to the Lord with wholehearted devotion.

3. 𝙍𝙚𝙘𝙡𝙖𝙞𝙢 𝙂𝙤𝙙'𝙨 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙢𝙞𝙨𝙚.
Like Israel, we have often failed to give God the honor and worship He deserves. Yet even in judgment, God extends an invitation to return to Him. In Joel 2:24–27, He promises restoration to those who repent and seek Him. God's mercy is still available to those who call on His name.

The greatest service we can render to our nation and to other nations is fervent prayer and the faithful proclamation of God's Word. Our nation's deepest need is not a better system but transformed hearts. Only when people turn to Christ will they find lasting hope, true restoration, and peace.
