CLUB HISTORY
The Rotary Club of Pulilan Diamonds, the first all-female Rotary Club in Pulilan, Bulacan is founded on April 19, 2013. Rotarians Ed San Diego of Rotary Club of Plaridel and then Assistant Governor Cely Angeles of Rotary Club of Pulilan formed Rotary Club of Pulilan Diamonds with 20 charter members. To-date, the club had 10 Past Presidents: Charter President Julieta Ponce (RY 2013-20
14), Demicar Hipolito (RY 2014-2015), Sandra Fe Navarro (RY 2015-2016), Ma. Socorro Dela Cruz (RY 2017-2018), Maria Teresa Mactal (RY 2018-2019), Rachel Fernandez (RY 2019-2020), Guadalupe Jallorina (RY 2020-2021), Olive Castro (RY 2021-2022) and Immediate Past President Lorelee Joie Muñoz (RY 2022-2023). Regular monthly meetings were held at Café Rio in Paltao, Pulilan, Bulacan and were later on transferred to Max’s Restaurant in Sto. In 2017, several members of Rotary Club of Pulilan Diamonds attended the Rotary International Convention in Georgia World Congress Center, Atlanta, Georgia, USA. Rotary Club of Pulilan Diamonds closed one global grant – “Provision of Potable Drinking Water and Improvement of Sanitation in Public Schools in Pulilan, Bulacan” in 2018. The club is an awardee in Panlalawigang Komisyon para sa Kababaihan ng Bulakan (PKKB, Group Category) and recognized as an exceptional group of Bulakenyas in 2020. Rotary Club of Pulilan Diamonds is accredited and an active member of the Civil Service Organizations of Pulilan, Inc. that enlists CSOs participation in local government processes and governance. Our members (12 Paul Harris Fellows, 9 Sustaining Members and 2 Benefactors) donate to The Rotary Foundation continuously. Rotary Club of Diamonds had been genuinely committed of providing programs and humanitarians services to enliven Rotary's motto of Service above Self: Bloodletting Activity, Polio Awareness, TB Mass Screening and Feeding Programs. Donations of in-kind and monetary assistance in numerous schools during the annual Brigada Eskwela, scholarships for academically qualified students and a “Community Pharmacy” are some of the notable projects the club is proud of. Currently, the club is consists of 30 active members and 1 honorary member who passed the criteria of a quality member set by the club - Professional, Committed, Active in the Community, Willing to be in Service to Others and Financially stable.
