Three days of trails, teamwork, and total immersion in natureโour Atabay Lake Fun Hike was nothing short of a meaningful adventure. From forest paths to shared campfire moments, every step reminded us why landscapes like Sultan Peak deserve to be experienced, appreciated, and protected.
Along the journey, participants shared stories, learned from one another, and built deeper connectionsโnot only with nature, but also with the people who call these forests home. The hike provided a unique opportunity to experience the beauty of the Sultan Peak landscape while fostering a greater appreciation for its ecological and cultural significance.
Reaching Atabay Lake was a rewarding moment for everyone involved. More than just a destination, it served as a reminder of the importance of preparation, teamwork, and respect for the natural world. Despite the challenges along the trail, participants returned with new insights, stronger friendships, and a renewed commitment to conservation and responsible outdoor recreation.
The activity also contributed to our ongoing efforts to better understand, promote, and responsibly showcase the trail as a potential venue for future eco-learning, environmental education, and conservation engagement activities within the Sultan Peak landscape. ๐ฑ
We would like to express our deepest gratitude to our local porters and guides, the Tagbanua Community, the Barangay LGU of Princess Urduja, the Municipal Tourism Office of Narra, our volunteer chef, Alvin Chan and especially our guest, Brody Walsh, for their support, partnership, and enthusiasm in making this activity a success. ๐๐ฟ
Until the next trail! ๐ฅพ๐
