In the West Philippine Sea, Commodore Christine Paulie Bergaño-Diciano underscored the importance of close coordination among the Philippine Coast Guard, the Armed Forces of the Philippines, and other national agencies while maintaining maximum tolerance and pursuing diplomacy. She emphasized that fishery law enforcement, resource management, environmental protection, and food security remain key priorities in protecting our maritime interests and our kababayan.
PCG visibility, documentation, and lawful presence are not provocations. They are practical means of protecting rights, safety, and the integrity of Philippine maritime zones. Through established outposts, communication lines, and safe maritime corridors, the Philippines strengthens its ability to protect its people and support the seafarers who navigate our waters.
