International Humanitarian Law (IHL) sets rules that protect people affected by armed conflict and reminds us that human dignity must always be respected.

Yesterday, 𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝟏𝟕, we celebrated the 𝐍𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐀𝐋 𝐂𝐏𝐑 𝐃𝐀𝐘. Let us raise awareness about the importance of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), a life-saving skill that can make the difference between life and death scenarios.

That day is commemorated to the enactment of Republic Act No. 𝟏𝟎𝟖𝟕𝟏, on July 17, 2016 or the 𝐒𝐚𝐦𝐛𝐨𝐲 𝐋𝐢𝐦 𝐋𝐚𝐰, named in respect for the late Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Star who experienced an unfortunate Cardiac Arrest in 2014.

Learning CPR isn't just about gaining knowledge— it's about being ready to act when every breath, beat, and second matters.

It is officially the rainy season. In times like this, keep yourself dry, bring your umbrella and raincoat, and avoid exposure to the rain to help prevent illnesses.

Let's not say, "𝑹𝒂𝒊𝒏, 𝒓𝒂𝒊𝒏, 𝒈𝒐 𝒂𝒘𝒂𝒚!"—after all, rain is life as it nourishes our plants and replenishes our water sources. Instead, let's learn to live with the weather wisely.

𝐏𝐥𝐞𝐝𝐠𝐞 𝟐𝟓| "𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡 𝐢𝐧 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐏𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐢𝐧 𝐒𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠."

The 𝐏𝐥𝐞𝐝𝐠𝐞 𝟐𝟓 blood donation drive on 𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝟒, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, at 𝐑𝐨𝐛𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐨𝐧'𝐬 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐏𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐧, with 𝟏𝟖 RCY mobilized, concluded with a total of 𝟏𝟓, 𝟕𝟓𝟎 𝐜𝐜 of blood collected.

This event would not be possible if it were not for the 𝐑𝐨𝐛𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐨𝐧'𝐬 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐏𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐧 for lending the venue of the event and for the fully committed RCY and Red Cross volunteers who attended and served as the backbone of this program.

Here is a quick fun fact: these cape-less heroes were just normal people with a will to help and a desire to save, highlighting the fact that anyone can make a significant change, no matter who they are and what they do!
