ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
• Open to all Palaweño artists aged 18 and above..
• Not eligible to join:
o Former First Prize winners
o Organizers and individuals assisting in the competition
• Only one (1) entry per artist is allowed.

GUIDELINES
• Artwork must measure exactly 3 feet x 3 feet (with or without frame).
• Accepted mediums: Oil on canvas and acrylic on canvas only.
• Artwork must be exhibit-ready with a nylon cord hanging system.
• Entries must be the original work and concept of the artist, and:
o Must not have been previously exhibited
o Must not have won or been revised from past competitions
• AI-generated references are strictly prohibited. The concept, sketch, and final artwork must be entirely hand-created by the artist.
• All entries must be signed and properly labeled using a card tag or caption affixed to the back. Direct writing on the canvas is not allowed.
Card tag must include the following:
• Artist’s Name, Municipality, Address, and Contact Number
• Title of the Artwork
• Medium
• Size
• Year
• The Palawan Heritage Center reserves the right to:
o Verify entries
o Disqualify non-compliant submissions
o Blacklist artists after three (3) violations from all future competitions
o Review copyright or originality concerns raised against finalists

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
• Artists are responsible for transporting their entries to the venue.
• While all entries will be handled with care, Palawan Heritage Center is not liable for any damage or loss before or after the event.
Submission Date and Venue:
📍 Palawan Heritage Center, Legislative Building, Provincial Government of Palawan
📅 June 9, 2025 (Monday)
🕗 From 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM only
Late submissions will not be accepted.
Required Upon Submission:
• Official Entry Form (available and filled out at Palawan Heritage Center on or before June 9, 2025)
• Participants must present an endorsement letter from the City or Municipality they represent
• Photocopy of one (1) valid ID (for age verification)
• Colored photo of the artwork with the following at the back:
o Artist’s Name, Municipality, Contact Number
o Title, Medium, Size, Year, and Price (if for sale)
• Sketch study of the painting
• Photo references (must be non-AI-generated)
Incomplete entries will be automatically disqualified.

JUDGING AND SELECTION
• The decision of the Board of Judges is FINAL.
• Judges may choose not to award a prize if entries do not meet artistic standards.
Top 25 Finalists will be announced online in June 2025 (exact date TBA) and exhibited at the Palawan Heritage Center Art Gallery during the Baragatan Festival.
Finalists will be posted on the Palawan Heritage Center 2014 and Provincial Information Office pages.
After a 14-day protest period with no complaints regarding authenticity, the Grand Prize Winners will be officially announced in June 2025 (date TBA).
Note: All top 3 and 10 Honorable Mention entries will become property of the Provincial Government and included in the Palawan Heritage Center Art Collection.

🏆 First Prize: ₱30,000 + Plaque & Certificate
🥈 Second Prize: ₱25,000 + Plaque & Certificate
🥉 Third Prize: ₱20,000 + Plaque & Certificate
🏅 10 Honorable Mentions: ₱5,000 + Certificate
🎖 12 Consolation Prizes: ₱2,500 + Certificate
Awarding Ceremony:

OTHER PROVISIONS
• All prize-winning artworks become the intellectual property of the Provincial Government of Palawan and Palawan Heritage Center, including all reproduction and derivative rights in perpetuity.
• Artists may sell non-winning entries and handle sales independently.
• Retrieval of non-winning artworks:

🧾 Artist or representative must arrange pickup.
💸 Transport expenses are the responsibility of the artist.
❗ Unclaimed artworks may be disposed of by the Palawan Heritage Center.
