𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐫 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬' 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐋𝐞𝐯𝐢 𝐉𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐛𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐧 𝐃𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐄𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐝𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐚𝐭 𝟐𝐧𝐝 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐥𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

During the Junior Marketers’ Association (JMA) 2nd General Assembly and Election, outgoing President Levi Juarbal Samillan formally delivered his final speech, marking the conclusion of his term with a message centered on resilience, faith, and purpose-driven leadership.

In his address, Samillan reflected on the realities of leadership, emphasizing that his journey was not defined by perfection, but by willingness and commitment. “𝘐 𝘯𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘩𝘦𝘴𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘳𝘶𝘯… 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘣𝘦𝘤𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘐 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘰𝘴𝘵 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘺, 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘣𝘦𝘤𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘐 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘰𝘴𝘵 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨,” he stated, recalling the early challenges their team faced even before formally assuming office.

He acknowledged the struggles encountered throughout the term, including moments of doubt, limited resources, and personal sacrifices. Despite these, he highlighted the collective strength of the organization: “𝘞𝘦 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬𝘦𝘥 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘸𝘦 𝘩𝘢𝘥… 𝘸𝘦 𝘭𝘦𝘥 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘵 𝘬𝘢𝘩𝘪𝘵 𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘴𝘢𝘯 𝘱𝘢𝘨𝘰𝘥 𝘯𝘢 𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘴𝘪𝘱 𝘢𝘵 𝘬𝘢𝘵𝘢𝘸𝘢𝘯.”

Samillan also expressed gratitude to those who became part of his leadership journey—crediting his faith, family, faculty mentors, officers, and JMA members as key pillars of support. He underscored that his greatest achievement was not found in accomplishments or events, but in the impact he created within the organization: “𝘏𝘪𝘯𝘥𝘪 𝘺𝘶𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘪𝘵𝘭𝘦𝘴… 𝘬𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘪 𝘺𝘶𝘯𝘨 𝘱𝘶𝘴𝘰 𝘯𝘢 𝘯𝘢𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘵 𝘬𝘰, 𝘢𝘵 𝘱𝘶𝘴𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘶𝘮𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘵 𝘴𝘢’𝘬𝘪𝘯 𝘱𝘢𝘣𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘬.”

As he formally stepped down from his position, he left a message to future leaders, encouraging them to embrace courage despite uncertainty. “𝙃𝙞𝙣𝙙𝙞 𝙠𝙖𝙞𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙖𝙣 𝙢𝙖𝙜𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙥𝙚𝙠𝙩𝙤 𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙖 𝙢𝙖𝙜𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙡𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙧… 𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝙠𝙖𝙞𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙖𝙣 𝙢𝙤 𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙜—𝙥𝙪𝙨𝙤, 𝙩𝙖𝙥𝙖𝙣𝙜, 𝙖𝙩 𝙥𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙙𝙞𝙜𝙖𝙣.”

Closing his speech, Samillan reframed his departure not as an end, but as a transition, affirming his continued commitment to the organization. He reminded members that leadership is not about status, but about rising when it matters most:

A leader is not waited for—a leader rises and chooses to rise to lead.
