PAGASA chief for Climate Monitoring and Prediction Section Ana Liza Solis advised the public especially those in the western part of the country to prepare for stronger rains (possible above-normal rainfall) and more intense typhoons, particularly during June, July, and August.
The event is linked to El Niño, which can cause typhoons to recurve and enhance the Southwest Monsoon ( ).
