PAGASA chief for Climate Monitoring and Prediction Section Ana Liza Solis advised the public especially those in the western part of the country to prepare for stronger rains (possible above-normal rainfall) and more intense typhoons, particularly during June, July, and August.

The event is linked to El Niño, which can cause typhoons to recurve and enhance the Southwest Monsoon ( ).

In 1976, workers in Butuan City, Agusan del Norte were digging near the Masao River when they found the remains of an ancient boat buried in the mud.

Magkakaroon ng bagong ruta ang Starlite Shipping company sa rutang Bulalacao Mindoro -Caticlan Aklan. Ang Mindoro ang gateway to Visayas and Mindanao at ang bulalacao ang pinakamabilis at pinakamalapit na ruta para sa mga byahero at turistang papunta ng Visayas lalo na sa pamosong Boracay Beach. Ang nasabing ruta ay monopolyo na ng Fastcat na may 2 hangang 4 na byahe sa isang oras. Maganda kapag may competisyun dahil mas napapaganda ang serbisyo at minsan ay mas napapababa ang pamasahe. Mapapadali na ang pagpunta ng boracay at mas madami nang pagpipiliang barkong masasakyan. Mababawasan din amg sobramg habang pila ng mga roro vehicles at maiiwasan din ang overloading ng mga pasahero. Tara halika na sa boracay. Madami afam doon!
