Strengthening Capacity for Better Community Engagement!

July 21–22, 2026 | Hotel Oazis, Butuan City

The CSO Desk Officer of the Municipality of Prosperidad participated in the Capability Building for CSO Desk Officers, conducted by DILG Caraga Region, held at Hotel Oazis, Butuan City.

The two-day activity strengthened the knowledge and skills of CSO Desk Officers in fostering meaningful partnerships with Civil Society Organizations, promoting participatory governance, and enhancing the delivery of responsive public service.

Together, we continue to empower communities and build a more inclusive and participatory local government. 💙

United for a Cleaner and Greener Prosperidad!

The East Prosperidad Agusan del Sur Tricycle Operator Drivers Association (EPASTODA) successfully conducted a Clean-Up Drive from Barangay New Maug to Sitio Ago, Barangay Magsaysay, Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur.

This meaningful activity reflects the association's commitment to environmental stewardship, community responsibility, and volunteerism. Through the collective efforts of its members, the clean-up drive contributed to maintaining a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable environment for everyone.

The LGU Prosperidad extends its appreciation to the officers and members of EPASTODA for their active participation and continued dedication to community development. Together, we can build a cleaner, greener, and more resilient Prosperidad.

Empowering Communities: 208 CSO Members Receive TUPAD Assistance

A total of 208 members from accredited Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in the Municipality of Prosperidad received their TUPAD financial assistance, distributed by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).

Through the unwavering support of Municipal Mayor Frederick Mark P. Mellana and the continuous coordination of PESO Manager Christine Alvizo, the TUPAD Program continues to provide temporary employment opportunities and much-needed assistance to qualified beneficiaries in the municipality.

This initiative reflects the strong partnership between the LGU and DOLE in promoting inclusive growth, sustainable livelihoods, and a better quality of life for every Prosperidadnon.

MUNICIPAL PEOPLE'S COUNCIL AND LOCAL SPECIAL BODIES 2ND QUARTERLY MEETING

The Municipal People's Council (MPC) and Local Special Bodies (LSBs) successfully conducted the 2nd Quarterly Meeting at the Municipal Conference Room on June 4, 2026.

The meeting was attended by the officers of the Municipal People's Council, who actively participated in discussions regarding various programs, updates, and initiatives aimed at strengthening collaboration between the local government and civil society organizations.

This gathering served as a valuable platform for sharing insights, addressing community concerns, and reinforcing the commitment of all stakeholders to transparent, inclusive, and participatory governance for the continued development of the Municipality of Prosperidad.

Just this morning, another Civil Society Organization, Libertad USAD Farmers Association (LUFA), successfully conducted a Clean-Up Drive from Brgy. Poblacion (Crossing Talacogon) to Brgy. Awa, together with Brgy. Captain Nena Tampepe of Brgy. Libertad.

This initiative reflects the spirit of unity, cooperation, and shared responsibility in keeping our communities clean, safe, and environmentally friendly. Thank you to everyone who participated and contributed their time and effort for the betterment of our community. 💚
