Cacao Farmers' Field Day gipahigayon sa Prosperidad

Nagkatapok ang 100 ka mga Upland Sustainable Agri-forestry Development (USAD) cacao farmer enrollees gikan sa lungsod sa Bunawan, San Luis ug Prosperidad aron sa pag-apil sa gipahigayon nga Cacao Farmers' Field Day and Forum kagahapon December 10, 2025 didto sa Barangay Mabuhay, Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur.

Usa sa highlights sa maong aktibidad mao ang pag-tour sa mga mag-uuma ngadto sa usa ka cacao plantation site nga gipanag-iya sa usa ka USAD farmer enrollees aron masaksihan ang kalahian sa soil test based fertilization application ug farmer practice sa ilang kakawan.

Butyag sa usa ka mag-uuma nga si Rodulfo Ostos residente sa Barangay San Isidro, San Luis, Agusan del Sur nga misaka ngadto sa 30-50% ang abot dihang gigamitan sa insaktong pamaagi kumpara sa kinaraan nga estilo sa pag-uma.

Ang Development of Soil Test-Based Fertilization Program gipundohan sa Department of Agriculture ilawom sa Bureau of Agricultural research (DA-BAR) pinaagi sa pakig-alayon sa Provincial Agriculture Office aron mapalambo pa ang kahimtang sa panginabuhian sa mga mag-uuma sa Agusan del Sur.

Ang maong aktibidad gitambongan ni Vice Governor Patricia Anne "Ate Pat" Plaza, mga sakop sa Sangguniang Panlalawigan sa distrito uno nga sila Hon. Gina Ceballos, Hon. Edgar Ga ug Hon. Padayun sa Kalambuan, Serbisyo Ihatud sa Katawhan🚚💚

The USAD Site Visitation and Government on Wheels successfully reached Brgy. Sayon, Sta. Josefa, Agusan del Sur last December 2, 2025, making essential services more accessible, especially for residents in far-flung areas who often travel long distances to avail vital support.

The community warmly welcomed our provincial officials led by Gov. Santiago B. Cane Jr., 1st District Representative Alfelito M. Bascug, 2nd District Representative Adolph Edward G. Plaza, Vice Governor Patricia Anne B. Plaza, and members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, as they brought programs, assistance, and hope directly to the people.

From November 25–27, 2025, the USAD family came together at CN Inland Resort, Rosario for a meaningful and purpose-driven Year-End Assessment and Target Setting. Over the course of three days, we revisited our achievements, strengthened our strategies, and realigned our goals for a more empowered and sustainable 2026. 💚

Through engaging discussions, creative presentations, and shared moments of learning and laughter, this activity strengthened not only our plans, but also our unity, commitment, and passion to serve the communities of Agusan del Sur.

The USAD Cutflower Farmers' Association Coordination Meeting was successfully held at the Cutflower Techno Demo Site in Brgy. Pinagalaan, Bayugan City last November 24, 2025. Key partners, especially our farmers, gathered to share updates, address concerns, and strengthen plans for the continued development of the Cutflower Project.

Guided under the leadership of USAD Program Coordinator Julius C. Quijada, the meeting highlighted the power of collaboration between farmers, city representatives, and barangay officials. With united efforts and shared vision, the project continues to bloom toward sustainable growth. 🌱✨

As part of the province’s meaningful observance of Children’s Month, the Provincial Government of Agusan del Sur (PGAS) recognized the newly elected Little Officials whose term of service ran from November 17–18, 2025.

Among them, we proudly highlight Ms. Mary Colin Socobos from the Municipality of Talacogon, who has been chosen to serve as the Little USAD Program Coordinator. Her appointment reflects the province’s dedication to nurturing young leaders who are ready to take part in building a progressive and people-centered Agusan del Sur.

USAD Reorientation to Farmer Enrollees 2025 🌿✨

From October 23 to November 11, 2025, the Upland Sustainable Agri-Forestry Development (USAD) Coordinating Unit successfully conducted the USAD Reorientation to Farmer Enrollees across the 13 municipalities and 1 city of Agusan del Sur.

The activity aimed to refresh and strengthen the understanding of our farmer enrollees about the goals, processes, and benefits of the USAD Program — aron mas mapalig-on pa ang atong panaghiusa ug kooperasyon para sa malungtarong pag-uma ug kalamboan sa kabukiran.

Partner programs such as the Innovation and Technology Program and other allied initiatives also shared their presentations and support, showing that when we work hand in hand, mas daghang mabungang resulta ang atong makab-ot!

The activity aimed to refresh the participants’ understanding of the program’s objectives, processes, and implementation guidelines, ensuring better alignment with its vision of improving agricultural productivity and community livelihood. During the session, farmers were briefed on the updated requirements, responsibilities, and benefits under the USAD Program, emphasizing the importance of active participation and proper farm management to achieve sustainable results.

Padayun Kalambuan, Serbisyo Ihatud sa Katawhan! 💚💛

The Provincial Government of Agusan del Sur (PGAS) through the Upland Sustainable Agri-Forestry Development (USAD) Coordinating Unit successfully conducted the USAD Site Visitation and Government-on-Wheels last October 22, 2025 in Barangay Sto. Niño, Bayugan City, bringing essential government services closer to the people.

Residents were able to avail of free medical and dental consultations, haircuts, massages, and distribution of medicines. Various national agencies joined the event, including the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), National Bureau of Investagation (NBI), the Philippine Red Cross - Agusan del Sur Chapter, and others, offering their frontline services on site.

The initiative aims to make government services more accessible, especially for those in far-flung communities.

Leading the site visitation were District II Representative Adolph Edward G. Plaza and District I Representative Alfelito M. Bascug, together with members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan and officials from the City Government of Bayugan. The officials also checked on the progress of the Upland Sustainable Agri-forestry Development (USAD) program and engaged with its beneficiaries.
