After more than fifty years of waiting since humanity's last venture beyond the Earth, NASA's Artemis II mission has reignited humanity's journey into space. Launched on April 6, 2026, this 10-day lunar flyby marks the first time humans will circle the Moon since the Apollo era.

Artemis II is a crewed flight under NASA's Artemis Program, serving as the first crewed flight to test deep-space capabilities with humans aboard. Unlike the uncrewed Artemis I mission, Artemis II carries four astronauts. This expedition provides essential opportunity to evaluate control, navigation, and communication systems under authentic space conditions.
By venturing beyond Earth's orbit, the voyage not only validates current spacecraft performance but alsp establishes foundational knowledge for future lunar missions and beyond.

• A veteran NASA astronaut, Wisemen brings extensive leadership and spaceflight expertise for the mission.
•Prior to this assignment, He served as former chief of the Astronaut Officer (Dec. 2020 – Nov. 2022)
•Has logged more than 165 days in space
𝑷𝒊𝒍𝒐𝒕 - 𝑽𝒊𝒄𝒕𝒐𝒓 𝑮𝒍𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒓
•He was the first Black astronaut to live and work on the International Space Station (ISS).
• This mission will be Glover's second spaceflight, serving previously as Pilot on NASA's SpaceX Crew-1. And is a flight engineer aboard the space station for Expedition 64 and has participated in four spacewalks.

•Has completed the first all-female spacewalk. She conducted a total of six spacewalks totaling 42 hours and 15 minutes.
•Set a record for longest single spaceflight by a woman with a total of 328 days in space and is now intended to be the first woman to travel beyond low Earth orbit and around the moon.

•Representing Canada, Hansen is making his first flight to space.
•A colonel in the Candian Armed Forces and former flight pilot.
•Holds a Bachelor of Science in space science from Royal Military College of Canada in Kingston, Ontario, and a Master of Science in physics from the same institution in 2000. And many more accomplishments he has achieved.
Their spacecraft, Orion Integrity, carries the crew in this historic journey, as they will be travelling around the far side of the Moon around and back to Earth in an approximately 406,771 kilometer distance.
•After orbiting the Earth briefly, Orion performs a Trans-Lunar Injection burn, which propels it to a path towards the Moon.
•This maneuver sets Orian on a free-return trajectory, meaning the Moon's gravity will naturally swing the spacecraft bsck towards Earth.
