📢 BACOFFA Advisory & Message of Support to OFWs and Their Families

The Brgy. Cambarus OFW and Family Farmers Association (BACOFFA) expresses deep concern and solidarity with all Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) and their families who may be affected by the current tensions and conflict involving the United States and Iran in the Middle East.

Recent developments have led to escalating military actions and retaliatory strikes across parts of the region, raising safety concerns and uncertainty for many migrant workers and residents. We understand that many of our fellow OFWs are deployed in nearby countries such as UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, and other Gulf states, where heightened alerts and precautionary measures are now being implemented.

To all our OFWs:
Your safety and well-being remain our highest concern. Please stay calm but vigilant, follow official advisories from your host country and the Philippine Embassy or Consulate, and keep regular communication with your families.

To the families in Brgy. Cambarus:
We stand with you in prayer and support during this uncertain time. Let us remain united as a community, extending emotional support and assistance to families whose loved ones are in affected areas.

BACOFFA calls on all concerned agencies and community partners to remain prepared to assist returning or distressed OFWs if needed.

(We continue to pray for world peace and the safety of our OFWs.)

Community Advisory from Brgy. Cambarus OFW and Family Farmers Association (BACOFFA) 🌋🤝

In view of the recent activities of Mt. Kanlaon in Negros, we gently remind all members, families, and residents to remain vigilant and prioritize health and safety.

Volcanic ashfall can pose risks to breathing, water safety, crops, and livestock. We encourage everyone to take simple but important precautions:

✔️ Wear a facemask when going outdoors, especially during ashfall
✔️ Keep drinking water covered and use safe, clean sources
✔️ Protect food, crops, and animal feeds from ash contamination
✔️ Limit outdoor exposure, particularly for children and the elderly
✔️ Monitor LGU and DRRMO advisories and follow evacuation guidance if issued

Let us continue the spirit of bayanihan by checking on neighbors, assisting vulnerable households, and sharing verified information within our community.

Your safety is our shared responsibility.
Stay alert, stay prepared, and stay united.

Merry Christmas at Maligayang Bagong Taon! 🎄

Cambarus.

Muli, Merry Christmas at Happy New Year sa inyong lahat. Nawa’y patuloy tayong pagpalain at pag-isahin ng Diyos.

A MESSAGE OF SYMPATHY AND REMEMBRANCE

With deep sadness, we extend our sincerest condolences on the passing of Genibe “Bing” Molabin, our ka-barangay and fellow OFW who left us while working in the Netherlands. Her sudden departure is a painful loss not only to her family, but also to our entire community—especially to her fellow OFWs who understand the sacrifices, hopes, and silent battles carried by every Filipino working far from home.

Bing will always be remembered for her courage, her kindness, and her unwavering desire to give her family a better life. She embodied the strength and resilience of every Cambarusnon who chooses to work abroad, and her memory will remain in our hearts as an inspiration.

To the Molabin family, please accept our deepest sympathy. In this time of grief, may you find comfort in knowing that Bing touched so many lives, near and far. We pray that God’s love embraces you with strength, peace, and healing.

As one community, we stand with you in this difficult moment.
Rest in peace, Bing. Your journey may have ended, but the love and memories you leave behind will forever remain.
