First Wave of Relief Assistance and Feeding activity!On June 8, 2026, a powerful 7.8-magnitude earthquake struck General Santos City, leaving many families shaken and communities struggling to recover.In response, Kiwanis Magandang GenSan, together with the Kiwanis Club of GenSan Home of the Champions and the Circle K of Digital SparkTech of GenSan Colleges, united to bring hope and assistance through a Feeding and Relief Operation for the earthquake-affected residents of Mateo Village, Lagao, General Santos City.
More than 200 families were impacted by the disaster, facing unexpected challenges and uncertainty. Through the generosity of volunteers, donors, and partners, warm meals and relief goods were distributed to help ease their burden and remind them that they are not alone in this difficult time.We extend our heartfelt gratitude to LGD Cristy Gulle Sebastian, through her we have gather donations from KI Trustee Mohan Lamsal of the Nepal District, Past KI Trustee Michel Fongue (NZSP), Past Governor Tirtha Kumar Singh of the Nepal District, ASPAC Vice Chair Gigi Chan Chu, MGEN Eme Magnaye PAF (Ret.), and PLG Annie Rose Bajala thank you for your generous donations and unwavering support.Our sincere appreciation also goes to President Designate Marilyn Esma of Esma Bakeshop for her overflowing generosity, as well as Club Treasurer Sophia Yap, Club Secretary Maylene Sangatanan, President-Designate Cecille Mojado of the Kiwanis Club of GenSan Home of the Champions, and President Donna Java Limosenero for their valuable contributions.Special thanks to Le Grand Suites for providing a venue to pack the relief goods, Virginia Food, Inc. for its support, and President-Elect Cherrylyn Manlapaz for mobilizing donations from her friends and colleagues.
