Scheduled power interruption in parts of Albay on Thursday, 13 August 2026

Time: 6:30AM - 6:30PM

Affected: ALECO ( Albay Electric Cooperative, Inc. ) (Dunao and Polangui Substations)

Reason: Shutdown of Daraga-Ligao 69kV Line to facilitate maintenance activities along the line.

Specific areas are determined by the affected electric cooperative. NGCP will exert all efforts to restore power earlier or as scheduled.

Pre-COC Filing Orientation in preparation for the November 2

Rescheduled date of Centro Occidental is on August 26, 2026 (Wednesday), 8AM onwards at Polangui Gymnasium.

ANNOUNCEMENT | PRE-COC FILING ORIENTATION NEW SCHEDULE

The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) – Office of the Election Officer, Polangui, Albay has released the new schedule for the Pre-Certificate of Candidacy (Pre-COC) Filing Orientation for the November 2, 2026 Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE).

🗓 Date: August 25–28, 2026
🕗 Time: 8:00 AM onwards
📍 Venue: Polangui Gymnasium, Polangui, Albay

All Barangay Officials, SK Officials, and aspiring BSKE candidates are advised to attend on the scheduled date assigned to their respective barangays as indicated in the official advisory.

Please refer to the attached schedule for your assigned orientation date.

Let us all remain informed and prepared as we work together toward a peaceful, orderly, and credible 2026 Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections.

ADVISORY | PRE-COC FILING ORIENTATION RESCHEDULED

The Liga ng mga Barangay – Polangui Chapter informs all Barangay Officials, SK Officials, and prospective candidates that, based on the Urgent Memorandum issued by the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) – Office of the Election Officer, Polangui, the Pre-Certificate of Candidacy (Pre-COC) Filing Orientation for the November 2, 2026 Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE), originally scheduled on August 4–7, 2026, has been RESCHEDULED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.

The postponement is due to unforeseen conflicts and the unavailability of the involved stakeholders. A new schedule will be announced by the COMELEC Office once it has been finalized.

We respectfully request all Barangay Captains and SK Chairpersons to immediately disseminate this advisory to their respective barangay officials and all interested aspirants.
