𝗢𝗙𝗙𝗜𝗖𝗜𝗔𝗟 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗥𝗘𝗚𝗔𝗥𝗗𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗕𝗨 𝗛𝗔𝗧𝗔𝗪

Due to the overwhelming number of people reaching out and asking the whereabouts of the Red Cross Youth Council first aiders during the recently concluded BU HATAW 2025, the Bicol University -Red Cross Youth Council (BU-RCYC) would like to clarify that our official communication platforms (email, messenger, FB page) have not received any official communication letter to involve or deploy volunteers for the said event. Moreover, the BU-RCYC adviser did not receive any coordination letter either.

As per our guidelines to safeguard our council and ensuring the safety of our volunteers, we cannot deploy any volunteers without proper coordination beforehand.

However, despite this lack of coordination, several officers and members of the BU RCYC still responded and rushed to the venue as soon as we received word that the situation turned a turn for the worse, many helping transport patients, monitoring patient conditions, taking vital signs, and etc.

We hope this statement clears out any misunderstandings and avoid misconceptions about the circulating issue. Lastly, if there are any students who are experiencing adverse reactions from the smoke inhalation such as difficulty breathing, nausea, and the like, do not hesitate to reach out to our FB Page or to any RCYC members for proper reporting.

During the 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐬 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓, the 𝐁𝐢𝐜𝐨𝐥 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐏𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐮𝐢-𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐝 𝐂𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥 proudly joined the 𝐂𝐁𝐎 𝐄𝐗𝐏𝐎 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓: 𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐭𝐡-𝐚-𝐏𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐳𝐚 with our very own booth that brought two days of fun, excitement, and good vibes.

Students lined up for the Ring Toss and Hot Shots challenge—some competing for prizes, others just playing for fun—but everyone left with smiles. The aroma of freshly made Spam musubi drew the crowd, selling out fast, while our limited-edition keychains became instant favorites and memorable keepsakes.

The last day of Intramurals 2025 was nothing short of intense and unforgettable! Athletes gave their all in the final rounds of Basketball, Volleyball, and Athletics, showcasing passion, skill, and sportsmanship until the very end.

Alongside the excitement, the 𝐁𝐢𝐜𝐨𝐥 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐏𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐮𝐢-𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐝 𝐂𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥 remained on duty to ensure the safety and well-being of everyone. With 𝟐𝟐 𝐯𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐬 present, we catered to 𝟏𝟐 𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 , standing ready to respond whenever needed.
