“The Magic of Rotary: Project Walking Free” under Global Grant GG2580631 successfully conducted a Free Prosthesis Assessment and Fitting Program on February 14, 2026 at 8:00 AM. This humanitarian initiative was designed to restore mobility, dignity, and independence to individuals in need of prosthetic limbs. Patients from different parts of the Bicol Region were served through this project, undergoing comprehensive medical assessment and professional prosthetic fitting. Through this life-changing intervention, beneficiaries were given renewed hope and the opportunity to walk again with confidence and self-reliance.
The project was made possible through the major funding support of Bennett Pedro Olivan and the Global Grant Fund amounting to US$ 28,500. The Rotary Club of Pili Centro, under the leadership of HWP Celso Agojo, is deeply grateful to be part of this meaningful endeavor. Special appreciation is extended to Rotary Club of Lipa South and Rotary Club of Activate Victoria as sponsoring clubs, as well as to Physicians for Peace headed by Dra. Penny Bundoc, and the Bicol Mobility Center for their expertise and dedicated service. Sincere gratitude is also extended to Lady Maryselle Olivan, PDG Everett Olivan, the medical staff, technical team, and all volunteers whose dedication ensured the success of this impactful initiative.
Through strong collaboration and shared commitment, Project Walking Free truly reflected the Magic of Rotary transforming compassion into action and enabling hope to walk forward across the Bicol Region.
