JLo Big Heart Foundation, Inc., together with our valued Program Partner, Vitamin Angels Philippines, recently conducted a monitoring visit to RHU Canaman, Camarines Sur to assess the implementation of the Vitamin A Supplementation, Deworming, and Multiple Micronutrient Supplementation (MMS) Program.

The visit also focused on reviewing record-keeping, documentation, and commodity management to help ensure efficient, high-quality, and sustainable program implementation.

We also had the opportunity to pay a courtesy call on Hon. Nelson S. Legaspi, Municipal Mayor of Canaman, reaffirming our shared commitment to improving the health, nutrition, and well-being of every member of the community.

As part of the JLo Big Heart Foundation’s commitment to supporting quality education, the Foundation supported the Brigada Eskwela 2026 by providing paints and cleaning materials to Pag-Asa Elementary School at Brgy. San Agustin, Pili, Camarines Sur.
This simple act of support contributes to the improvement of school facilities and promotes a clean, safe, and learner-friendly environment for all. Together, we make a difference in shaping a better future for our children.

In support of Brigada Eskwela 2026, the JLo Big Heart Foundation, through its Education Support Program, donated essential materials to help prepare and improve school facilities.
The Foundation provided paints and construction materials to Agaton C. Rodriguez Elementary School at Brgy. Cadlan, Pili, Camarines Sur. This initiative aims to provide a safe, clean, and conducive learning environment for students, teachers, and the entire school community.

In compliance with the 𝗘𝘅𝗲𝗰𝘂𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗢𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼. 𝟭𝟭𝟳 dated May 7, 2026 titled “STREAMLINING THE ACCREDITATION SYSTEM FOR DONEE INSTITUTIONS AND DESIGNATING THE DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL WELFARE AND DEVELOPMENT AS THE SOLE ACCREDITING ENTITY FOR SOCIAL WELFARE AND DEVELOPMENT AGENCIES, AMENDING EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 720 (2008) FOR THE PURPOSE”, the Philippine Council for NGO Certification (PCNC) shall cease receiving, processing and evaluating 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗽𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗱𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗲-𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝘂𝘀 of NGOs that are licensed and accredited by the DSWD as SWDAs, effective immediately. SWDAs may, at their discretion, still pursue PCNC-accreditation as a “seal of good governance and housekeeping”.

Section 2 of the Order provides that “The Certificate of Registration and Certificate of Accreditation issued by the DSWD to SWDAs, as applicable, shall be deemed sufficient and shall be recognized by the BIR in granting donee-institution status for purposes of Section 34(H) and 101(A) of the National Internal Revenue Code, as amended.”

PCNC shall continue processing the application for accreditation and donee-institution status of NGOs that are not SWDA until the implementing guidelines of the said EO has been issued or a clarification to the contrary has been made by the BIR.
