The Pikit-NHS Youth for Environment in Schools Organization (YES-O) showcased their environmental advocacy at the Pakat Youth Leadership Convergence (PYLC) 2026 Gallery Walk by highlighting key projects like tree planting and school-wide eco-drives. They also celebrated a major milestoneโ€”the first-ever YES-O CCAM Municipal Summit. The prove that unified youth leadership and nature conservation go hand in hand.

To end their exhibition with a bang, the YES-O officers performed a live environmental science demonstration. In an exciting twist, the officers even invited enthusiastic participants to try the fire experiment themselves! This high-energy, hands-on experience successfully proved that science, innovation, and passion bloom through collaboration, leaving a lasting impression on everyone at the convergence.

The team would like to extend its heartfelt gratitude to the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Pikit, especially to our Mayor Muhyryn Sultan-Casi, for inviting the organization to be part of this wonderful event. Thank you for always providing a platform for young environmental leaders to shine!

Empowering youth, enriching lives! Our YES-O officers from Pikit National High School took part in the Sexually Healthy and Personally Empowered Adolescents (SHAPE-A) Camp, held on April 22โ€“24 at The Basket, Amas, Kidapawan City. With workshops, discussions, and team-building activities, they gained valuable skills and knowledge on adolescent health, leadership, and environmental stewardship. Grateful for the opportunity to connect with fellow youth leaders and bring back positive change to our school and community!

Contributing Food Security and Greening Program in One: ๐€ ๐๐š๐ฉ๐š๐ฒ๐š ๐๐ฅ๐š๐ง๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐€๐œ๐ญ๐ข๐ฏ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐ŸŒฑ

Today, the Youth for Environment in School Organization (YES O) Officers of Pikit National High School successfully planted 20 Papaya and 3 Malunggay seedlings, at the school backyard. The initiative aims to promote environmental protection at the same time, contributes food security to the school community

The activity highlights the importance of growing plants especially the fruit-bearing ones such as Papaya and giving importance to preferring indigenous plant species for plant growing activities. Through simple yet meaningful efforts, we can create lasting positive impacts for future generations.
We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to our Adviser for her steadfastness and presence in conducting this activity. Special thanks is also extended to the YES O Vice President who facilitated this particular activity, and to ALL YES O Officers who participated and supported this activity. โ€ŽHeld on December 11-12, 2025, at 5S Catering Services in Ladtingan Pikit, Cotabato, this activity was crucial for enhancing our understanding of gender-responsive programming and equipping us with the skills to prepare a comprehensive and inclusive three-year youth development agenda for our municipality.

โ€ŽOur VP joined fellow LYDC Presidents, Youth Advisers, and representatives from various other youth organizations to ensure inclusive representation in mapping out Pikit's future for its youth.

Today, the Youth for Environment in Schools Organization (YES-O) of Pikit National High School, in partnership with the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO), successfully planted 35 Bamboos, 20 Narras, and 20 Lawaans at Inug-ug, Pikit, Cotabato.

This initiative highlights the importance of environmental conservation and the responsibility of youth in protecting our Mother Earth. The activity also promotes awareness about the importance of reforestation and sustainable development.

We, the YES Organization, would like to express our gratitude to everyone who participated and supported this activityโ€” teachers, students, the LGU Pikit, and the MENRO for providing the trees. Your presence and support have made a significant impact in promoting nature conservation and sustainability.
