Rahib Lumayon Kudto is a respected leader, educator, peace advocate, and development practitioner with extensive experience in governance, conflict resolution, youth leadership, and community development. He has actively contributed to peacebuilding initiatives in Mindanao and the Bangsamoro region through civil society engagement, education, and institutional leadership.

He is famously called “Pres.”

As we conclude the blessed month of Ramadan, may Allah (SWT) graciously accept our fasting, prayers, and sacrifices. May this auspicious occasion bring renewed faith, lasting peace, and abundant blessings to every home and community.

Ramadhan Symposium Conducted by UNYPAD Barangay Lagundi Chapter in Collaboration with Youth Organization Partners

Last March 8, 2026, the UNYPAD Barangay Lagundi Chapter, in collaboration with youth organization partners, successfully conducted a Ramadhan Symposium aimed at strengthening Islamic knowledge, unity, and spiritual reflection during the blessed month of Ramadhan.

The organizers extend their heartfelt appreciation to UNYPAD Municipal Officials for their steadfast support and collaboration. Gratitude is also given to Barangay Captain Sindato Karim and the SK Officials of Barangay Lagundi for their invaluable assistance in coordinating with the community and ensuring the smooth conduct of the activity.

The activity was led by Farhud S. HajiGapor, Acting Chairman of UNYPAD Barangay Lagundi Chapter, together with youth leaders and volunteers who worked together to ensure the success of the symposium.

This initiative highlights the vital role of youth in promoting Islamic education, unity, and peacebuilding within the Bangsamoro community during the holy month of Ramadhan.

UNYPAD Tugunan Chapter Joins CSO’s Ramadhan Symposium with Free Iftar in Tugunan

TUGUNAN, SGA-BARMM — The United Youth for Peace and Development (UNYPAD) Tugunan Chapter actively participated in the CSO’s Ramadhan Symposium organized under the Municipality of Tugunan SGA-BARMM Local People’s Council, Headed by Hon. Rahma P. Gilaman, held on March 7, 2026 at 5H Garden and Event Place in Barangay Manaulanan.

The activity gathered various accredited Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) across the municipality to strengthen partnership, unity, and collaboration in serving the community while reflecting on the spiritual values of the blessed month of Ramadhan.

As one of the accredited CSOs, UNYPAD Tugunan Chapter reaffirmed its commitment to youth empowerment, peacebuilding initiatives, and active participation in local governance and community development.

The symposium also served as a platform for sharing insights, strengthening cooperation among organizations, and encouraging greater involvement of civil society in promoting peace, development, and good governance in Tugunan.

Through activities like this, the municipality continues to recognize the vital role of CSOs in fostering unity and meaningful community engagement.

The meeting took place on February 8, 2026, at SB Hall, Malidegao Municipal, Batulawan, MALIDEGAO SGA BARMM.

Agenda highlights included discussions on preparations for Ramadan, updates on our new VMGO, and insights from national attendees.

UNYPAD TUGUNAN Chapter: Catching- up and moving forward.

As the year 2026 starts, United Youth for Peace and Development- Tugunan (UNYPAD- Tugunan) Chapter, thru the leadership of Chairman Abdulnasser R. Asim, look back into the collective efforts and engagements of the organization, on January 01, 2026, at Sitio Muslim, Barangay Panicupan, Tugunan, SGA- BARMM.

The gathering commences with, Vice Chairman for Internal Affairs Ustadz Benladin Guiaman's opening prayer thru Qur'an Recitation, and was followed by the meeting proper priseded by Chairman Asim.

Among the agenda discussed were: Assessment of the 2025 Accomplished Activities that aim to assess the organizations implemented planned, and unplanned activities and engagements which was presented by Abdulnasser Manalinding (UNYPAD Tugunan Secretary for Administration); Updating of Current Organizational Status; 2026 First Quarter Planning of Activities; and other important matters. This emphasizes the genuine commitment of the organization in putting the best interest of Tugunan Youth through meaningful undertakings.

Also, some members of Panicupan Active Youth Organization (PAYO) joined the said gathering and shared some valuable insights in strengthening an organization that promotes faith, peace, and development.

The meeting ends with a feast, and congregational Salat Al- Dhuhr by UNYPAD Tugunan, and PAYO, which foster Islamic spiritual connection as one of the best practices the organization is known for.

𝐔𝐍𝐘𝐏𝐀𝐃 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐍𝐂𝐂𝐓 𝐀𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 Join Final Electoral Advocacy and Peace Forum in Patot, Pigcawayan, SGA–BARMM

Barangay Patot, Pigcawayan, SGA–BARMM — The United Youth for Peace and Development (UNYPAD) National, represented by Jho Balabagan, together with the NCCT Alliance of Civil Society Organizations, took part in the Advocacy and Orientation on the Bangsamoro Electoral Code (BAA 35) for Peaceful and Orderly Election held on October 9, 2025, at Jamiat Jawwad Al-Rashid Al-Academiah, Inc.

The event, organized by Nonviolent Peaceforce (NP) led by Junjie Paraz, in partnership with German Cooperation (GIZ), served as the final leg of their electoral advocacy activities within the Special Geographic Area (SGA) of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).

Ustdz. Haji Abdulgafor Musa, Head of the NCCT–BARMM Parliament, discussed the salient provisions of the Bangsamoro Electoral Code (BAA 35) and provided updates on the postponement of the BARMM Parliamentary Elections, explaining that the move aims to ensure better coordination and fair representation.

Jho Balabagan of UNYPAD National delivered a session on the Islamic perspective on leadership and political participation, emphasizing that choosing honest, capable, and God-fearing leaders is a moral and religious obligation in Islam.

Meanwhile, Junjie Paraz of Nonviolent Peaceforce presented an in-depth discussion on Election-Related Violence (ERV), encouraging participants to promote peace, dialogue, and understanding during electoral processes.

Representatives, including CSO’s Tugunan People’s Council Chairperson Hon. Rahma Gilman other CSO members under NCCT Alliance, actively participated in the program.

Adding to the success of the activity, the UNYPAD Tugunan Chapter Chairman Abdulnasser R. Asim, served as the official photographer, documenting the discussions and moments of unity throughout the event.

As the final project under this series of community engagements, participants—particularly the ulama and ustadzes of Barangay Patot—expressed their heartfelt gratitude. Many shared that they never expected such a meaningful program to reach their community, calling it a blessing and a sign that peace and education continue to spread even in far-flung areas of the SGA.

This closing event stands as a testament to the shared commitment of Nonviolent Peaceforce, German Cooperation (GIZ), NCCT Alliance, and UNYPAD in promoting civic awareness, peacebuilding, and good governance across the Bangsamoro region.

Tugunan, Special Geographic Area – BARMM | October 2025

Dala ang pangalan ng Tugunan Municipality mula sa Special Geographic Area (SGA), si Abdulnasser R. Asim, LPT, ay patuloy na nagbibigay inspirasyon sa mga kabataang Bangsamoro sa pamamagitan ng kanyang aktibong partisipasyon sa mga programa at adbokasiyang pangkapayapaan ng rehiyon.

Sa pangunguna ni United Youth for Peace and Development North Cotabato Cluster II ( UNYPAD- NCCII ) Chairman Hamsa Landayan, patuloy na isinusulong ng UNYPAD ang partisipasyon ng kabataan sa mga gawaing nagtataguyod ng kapayapaan, kaunlaran, at boluntaryong paglilingkod.

Si Asim ay kasalukuyang Appointed Chairman ng UNYPAD – Tugunan Chapter at Elected Secretary ng CSO’s Tugunan Local People’s Council, kung saan dala niya ang UNYPAD bilang kinatawan ng People’s Organization sa Local Special Body (LSB) ng Tugunan. Patunay ito ng tiwala ng lokal na pamahalaan sa kakayahan ng mga kabataang lider sa pamamahala at pagpapaunlad ng komunidad.

Nairekumenda si Asim na lumahok sa 5th Bangsamoro Peace Promotion Fellowship (BPPF) na ginanap sa Davao City noong Setyembre 25–29, 2025, sa ilalim ng Ministry of Public Order and Safety (MPOS-BARMM).

Matatandaan ding isa siya sa mga Selected Youth Leaders sa Youth Leader Summit ng Bangsamoro Youth Commission (BYC-BARMM) na ginanap sa Cotabato City noong Abril 25–27, 2025, at kabilang sa mga Recommended Participants sa Training of Trainers on the BARMM Barangay Justice System Manual ng Ministry of the Interior and Local Government (MILG) sa tulong ng SUBATRA Project, noong Abril 7–11, 2025, sa Sotogrande Hotel, Davao City.

Hindi upang ipagyabang ang mga tagumpay, kundi upang maging inspirasyon sa kapwa kabataan, ipinapakita ni Asim na ang tunay na lider ay handang magsilbi nang walang hinihinging kapalit.

“Patunay na hindi hadlang ang kawalan ng financial dahil ito ay sagisag ng volunteerism. Ang mahalaga ay ang puso sa paglilingkod at malasakit sa kapwa,” pahayag ni Asim.

Marami na ring naipamalas si Asim sa mga nakaraang taon, kabilang ang kanyang aktibong pamumuno sa iba’t ibang organisasyon. Ang mga karanasang ito ay nagsisilbing inspirasyon sa mga kabataan upang makilahok sa mga gawaing makatutulong hindi lamang sa paghubog ng sarili kundi pati na rin sa pag-unlad ng komunidad, lalo na sa Tugunan, SGA-BARMM.

Isang kabataang Bangsamoro na tunay na halimbawa ng malasakit, dedikasyon, at boluntaryong serbisyo.

Abot sa apat sa Local Special Body (LSB) sa Lokal na Pamahalaan ng Tugunan ang irerepresenta ng United Youth for Peace and Development Tugunan Chapter (UNYPAD Tugunan Chapter) kasama ang iba pang Civil Society Organization ( CSOs) sa bayan.

Ang mga naturang LSBs ay ang mga sumusunod:

Local Developmemt Council;
Local Health Board;
Local School Board; at
Local Ecological and Solid Waste Management Council.

Bilang isa sa mga municipal chapters ng UNYPAD North Cotabato Cluster II ( NCCII ) sa pamumuno ni Ustadz Hamsa G. Landayan, ang pagiging bahagi ng organisasyon sa LSBs ay isang malaking pagkilala sa kakayahan nito bilang bahagi ng isang inklusibo at aktibong komunidad tungo sa kapayapaan at kaunlaran. In Sha Allah.

Inihayag naman ni Municipal Chairman Abdulnasser Asim ang kagalakan at kahandaan nito sa mga susunod hakbang ng Lokal na Pamahalaan ng Tugunan sa pagsasakatuparan ng mandato ng mga LSBs. Dagdag pa ni Chairman Asim na hindi aniya sasayangin ng UNYPAD Tugunan Chapter ang pagkakataong ito, bilang isa sa mga pangunahing at aktibong youth organization sa bayan.
