Earth Bauko pageant was created by METANOIA organization, batch 2004 of Bauko Catholic School to promote environmental awareness and to develop young men and women to be an ambassador and ambassadress of the environment especially in the municipality of Bauko. We do this by helping and developing the candidates to be a good leader, train them to voice out their opinions, get involved on the enviro
nmental concern of the municipality, train them to promote social cause and etc. The reigning titleholders will dedicate their year to promote specific projects like tree planting, community cleaning and also outreach program in the municipality of Bauko. They will also coordinate with the Local Government of Bauko and active non government organization to address environmental concern in the municipality and also help to promote tourism in the municipality. Pageant system
Mister and Miss Earth Bauko candidates are screened to assure that each of the participating candidates is not just physically beautiful/gorgeous, but environmentally knowledgeable. As soon as we have completed and chosen the candidates from each Barangay, they will be subject to evaluation by the pageant organizer. During the pre-finals weeks, the candidates are evaluated on each activity and event they have. In the pre-judging session, the delegates faced the panel of judges to show their talents and for an interview in their simplest look, where they speak of their environmental platform and personal thoughts. As soon as the preliminary activities and interview are completed, the judges and the organizers will select sixteen candidates,8 gentlemen and 8 ladies who will comprise the group of semi-finalists that will join the pageant Proper. The Finalist will proceed with the pageant proper. The scores from all the events will be averaged and the four (4) highest scorers will continue with the last competition - the final interview. If in case the four title lists can no longer fulfill their duties and obligations as titleholders, the runner-ups will be the one who will take-over the title. Awards
