LEGAL AID CARAVAN BRINGS LEGAL SERVICES CLOSER TO BRGY. AGGUGADDAN RESIDENTS

A Legal Aid Caravan organized by the JD-3 Law Student Practitioners of the University of Cagayan Valley – College of Law under its Clinical Legal Education Program was successfully conducted today at Barangay Aggugaddan, bringing free legal information and services closer to the community.

During the program, Mr. William II Arago Furigay, KKDAT Municipal President delivered his message emphasizing the importance of legal awareness among the youth and community members. He highlighted that understanding one’s rights and responsibilities under the law plays a vital role in building a more informed and empowered community.

Also present during the activity was Hon. Marlon Buena, SK Chairperson of Barangay Aggugaddan, who joined the initiative supporting programs that educate and engage the youth in community development.

The activity formally opened with a welcome message from Hon. Cleofa Quizzagan, Barangay Captain while PCpt. Charles Lapada, Deputy Chief of Police also shared a message encouraging residents to remain cooperative and proactive in promoting peace, order, and respect for the law within the community.

The Legal Aid Caravan is part of the law students’ practical training, allowing them to extend legal assistance and share basic legal knowledge to communities, reflecting the program’s goal of bringing “Hustisiyang Abot-Kamay: Mula Silid-Aralan, Para sa Pamayanan.”

IN PHOTOS: Peñablanca Police Station led by PMAJ REYMAR R MARIBBAY, Chief of Police successfully held its "Awarding Ceremony for Sustaining the Drug Free Workplace Status." The program commenced with a solemn invocation led by Pastor Renato Regio (MBK-LC).

This was followed by the welcome remarks delivered by PCPT CHARLES P LAPADA, the Deputy Chief of Police, who greeted the attendees and set a positive tone for the event. Subsequently, a series of messages were delivered by distinguished guests, including the Honorable Municipal Mayor Marilyn Julia-Taguinod represented by Hon. Juan Lingan Jr., PDEA RO2 Regional Director DIR III Gil Cesario P Castro represented by DIR II Janmar Malibiran, Assistant Director II, Provincial Director PCOL MARDITO G ANGULUAN represented by PLTCOL RAMIL ALIPIO, Deputy Provincial Director for Administration and the Chief of Police, PMAJ REYMAR R MARIBBAY.

The culminating part of the ceremony was the awarding of the plaque by PDEA personnel to the Peñablanca PS, which was formally received by PMAJ MARIBBAY on behalf of the station. The SK Federation of Peñablanca proudly spearheads the 2025 International, ASEAN, and National Youth Day and Linggo ng Kabataan Celebration — a grand gathering of empowered young leaders, creative minds, and dynamic talents of our municipality.

📌 Theme: “Local Youth Actions for the Sustainable Development Goals and Beyond”

This three-day celebration will feature a diverse line-up of activities — from dance and arts competitions, literary and public speaking contests, and leadership seminars, to team-building challenges, talent showcases, and a praise and worship night — all designed to inspire action, strengthen camaraderie, and nurture the spirit of service among our youth.

As we mark this occasion, we call on every young Peñablancaño to rise, participate, and lead the way towards a future where the Sustainable Development Goals are not just aspirations, but realities we help build — together.

IN PHOTOS: Personnel of Peñablanca Police Station led by PMAJ REYMAR R MARIBBAY, Acting Chief of Police of Peñablanca Police Station Cagayan Police Provincial Office successfully concluded its NAPOLCOM Inspection, held in conjunction with the 30th Police Community Relations (PCR) Month.

This significant event was a collaborative effort, bringing together the NAPOLCOM, led by Provincial Officer Ms. Irene Isabel Cabel; Barangay-Based Advocacy Group, KKDAT, representative from Aeta Community; Atty. Carla Calos, representing Municipal Mayor Marilyn Julia Taguinod; and Pastor Renato Regio of MBK LC. During the conduct of inspection and validation, Ms. Ma. Irene Isabel C. Cabel noted that the Peñablanca Police Station has actively implemented various PCR-related activities aligned with the objectives of the 30th Police Community Relations Month. These initiatives showcased strong community engagement, collaboration with local stakeholders, and adherence to the guidelines set by NAPOLCOM and PNP.

The station demonstrated commendable efforts in promoting community partnership, public safety awareness, and effective delivery of police services through its programs and outreach activities. The primary aim was to effectively showcase the station's unwavering commitment to excellence, transparency, and dedicated service to the community, while simultaneously acquiring vital insights and guidance from NAPOLCOM officials to further strengthen community ties and enhance public service delivery.

One of the initiatives under our Health Programs is the distribution of hygiene kits through our flagship project titled, 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐌𝐇𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐈𝐒: 𝐌𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐇𝐲𝐠𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐞 𝐚 𝐋𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐍𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧.

This project aims to help young learners embrace the habit of proper hygiene and promote continuous health education from an early age. We believe that teaching them how to properly use the hygiene kits is essential in developing this important lifelong habit.

As part of this initiative, beneficiaries will receive their hygiene kits on 𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝟐𝟏, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓, 𝐚𝐭 𝟕:𝟑𝟎 𝐀𝐌 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐠𝐠𝐮𝐠𝐚𝐝𝐝𝐚𝐧 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫, accompanied by their parents or guardians and supported by the ADC teachers.

This will be in partnership with KKDAT Peñablanca, headed by Mr. William Furigay.

This is an advocacy project of the Sangguniang Kabataan Aggugaddan, in collaboration with the Cagayan Youth Advocates and Kabataan Kontra Droga at Terorismo–Peñablanca.
