đź‘‹ STAFF SATURDAY: MEET THE TEAM

Every Saturday, we get to know the people behind Fairplay—the people whose everyday work, dedication, and presence help make our community what it is.

Meet Ms. Zargy, our Administrator and one of the people behind Fairplay Press. 💙📰

As an administrator, Ms. Zargy helps keep things organized and moving behind the scenes. From day-to-day tasks and coordination to supporting the team, her work helps make sure that the little things are taken care of.

But her role doesn’t stop there. Ms. Zargy also leads Fairplay Press, giving our young people a space to write, create, ask questions, and share stories from their community.

Through Fairplay Press, she helps young people discover their voices and reminds us that their stories deserve to be heard.

Thank you, Ms. Zargy, for keeping things moving behind the scenes and for helping create a space where young people can express themselves and tell their own stories. đź’™

Here’s to the people who keep Fairplay organized, creative, and full of stories worth sharing!

When two communities come together, the game becomes more than a game. âš˝

Last September 20, Payatas FC faced the SJCS Football Team in an 11-a-side exhibition match at the Makati Circuit Blue Pitch.

This match was made possible through the partnership between Saint Jude Catholic School and Fairplay For All Foundation, bringing together young players who share the same love for football and the same excitement to step onto the pitch.

There were goals, saves, challenges, tired legs, and plenty of moments to celebrate. But beyond the action, it was about creating a space where young people could compete, learn from one another, build friendships, and simply enjoy playing the sport they love.

For our Payatas FC players, every opportunity to play on a new pitch, meet new teams, and test themselves is another experience they can carry with them.

We are grateful to SJCS for sharing this experience with us and for believing in the power of sport to bring people together.

Here’s to more partnerships, more opportunities, and more young people finding their place in the game.

This is football. This is community. This is Football For All. 💙⚽

“A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.” --LAO TZU

Every journey starts somewhere. It can begin with one small step, one new experience, or simply the courage to try something new.
At Fairplay, we see how small steps can become meaningful journeys. A child trying a new sport, a young person learning something new, or someone taking a chance on a dream. Each step can lead to new opportunities and new stories.

These are some of the stories we want to share through The Fairplay Press. It is our way of sharing what has been happening in our community, the people we meet, the lessons we learn, and the moments worth remembering.

Our August 2026 edition of The Fairplay Press is now available. Take a moment to read, explore, and see some of the stories from our community.

MINDFUL MONDAY: DISCOVERING NEW HOBBIES

This week, one of our staff members took some time to explore something new by visiting different museums. What started as a simple way to spend the day became an experience they genuinely enjoyed.

At Fairplay, we believe that growth can also happen when we give ourselves space to explore the things that make us happy.

What new hobby or activity has brought you a little more peace lately?

đź‘‹ STAFF SATURDAY: MEET THE TEAM

Every Saturday, we get to know the people behind Fairplay—the people whose stories are also part of the story of our community.
Meet Coach Rona, our Sports Manager. ⚽💙

Coach Rona’s journey with Fairplay started on the pitch as a Payatas FC player. What began with playing the sport eventually grew into something more. Through the years, she took on new challenges, learned more about coaching and leadership, and found herself helping others experience the same opportunities that sport gave her.

From being a player to becoming a coach, and now serving as our Sports Manager, Coach Rona has grown alongside Payatas FC and the Fairplay community.

Today, she helps lead our sports programs, supports our coaches and players, and continues to share her experience with the next generation.

Thank you, Coach Rona, for growing with us, giving back through sport, and showing how a player can become a leader in the same community that helped shape her. đź’™

Here’s to the journeys that begin on the pitch and grow into something bigger. ⚽

From Barefoot Beginnings to National Athlete

Thea’s story started simply, with a ball at her feet and the joy of playing, sometimes barefoot.

Through Payatas FC and Fairplay, she found a place to play, make friends, learn, and slowly believe in herself. What began as a simple love for football opened doors to opportunities she may not have imagined before.

She kept playing. She kept learning. And she kept showing up.
Those small beginnings eventually led her to bigger fields and bigger opportunities. She became a varsity player at Far Eastern University and eventually a national athlete representing the Philippines.

Her journey is a reminder of what can happen when young people are given the chance to play, grow, and dream, and when a community continues to believe in them.
