Word of the Day: CONSISTENCY

Consistency means showing up and doing the right thing again and again, kahit walang palakpak, kahit walang kapalit, kahit mahirap na. It is not about how strong you start, but how faithful you remain until the end.

I think many leaders today lack this capability. Magagaling sila sa una—full of promises, energy, and big words. Pero habang tumatagal, nawawalan ng gana. Parang pag-ibig na sweet lang sa umpisa, pero sa huli, sasaktan ka lang pala at iiwan. Ganyan din sa leadership: some lead only when there is benefit, power, or recognition. But the moment it becomes heavy, boring, or sacrificial—they disappear.

True leadership requires consistent character, not just consistent presence. As leaders, we need to equip ourselves with consistency so we can serve for the betterment of others, not for personal gain. This is also where we begin banning corruption within our own hearts—when we choose to stay honest, faithful, and committed even when no one is watching. Because real leaders don’t quit when it’s no longer convenient; they stay because it is right..

The Supreme Student Leaders Government of SAAPI (SAAPI SSLG) is now ready to share in the joy of this season, where Jesus is the true reason for our celebration. “Where Leadership Begins and Hope Moves Forward”

Today marks another milestone for the SAAPI SSLG as we successfully held our December monthly meeting—our last for the year 2025. This year was not perfect, but every challenge shaped us, strengthened us, and reminded us why we chose to lead. Each moment taught us something new about service, responsibility, and commitment.

Even with the difficulties we faced, we continued to stand with puso, galing, at talino. Hindi man madali, but we showed what true Augustinian leadership looks like — leadership that listens, understands, and grows. Every step we took was guided not just by skill, but by the heart that pushes us to serve better.

As we close this year, we carry with us not just lessons, but a renewed passion to continue serving every Augustinian with dedication and humility. This is only the beginning. Together, we will keep building a future where hope is alive, leadership is brave, and service is sincere. Because we are not just leaders today—we are the hope of tomorrow.

Joining CEAP VI 2025 taught us that sometimes the greatest lessons come from the most unexpected moments. Yes, we experienced challenges—kulang sa tulog, basa ang tent, adjusting to a new environment—but even in those struggles, God showed us that growth often begins in discomfort. We realized that being a student isn’t just about academics; it’s also about learning how to handle real-life situations with patience, teamwork, and faith. In every small difficulty, may tinuturo pala si Lord, reminding us that we are stronger than we think.

Throughout the activities, games, and worship moments, we discovered the beauty of connection. We met new friends, laughed with people we just saw for the first time, and supported each other kahit pagod na. The Praise and Worship night was a reminder that no matter how chaotic life gets, God remains our peace. Even when plans change or schedules don’t go perfectly, He still finds a way to touch our hearts. It was during these moments that many of us realized na minsan, all we need is one song, one prayer, or one hug from a friend para maramdaman na we are not alone.

As we end this camp, we carry home more than just memories—we carry purpose. CEAP reminded us that being young is not a weakness but a mission. We are called to lead with kindness, serve with love, and grow with courage. Kahit hindi perfect ang lahat, what matters is the transformation inside us. We return home inspired, renewed, and ready to live out our faith in simple but meaningful ways. And as we move forward, we hold on to this truth: God is with us, guiding every step, and making every experience—good or challenging—part of who we are becoming.

“Leadership isn’t just about titles or positions — it’s about showing up, helping out, and doing your part.” These were the inspiring words of Geohan Zeus L. Dubria, the Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG) Auditor, as he delivered his Accomplishment Report for the First Semester of S.Y. 2025–2026. Dubria emphasized that his role goes beyond numbers — it is about serving with transparency, accountability, and integrity for the welfare of the students.

In his report, Dubria shared his duties in enforcing discipline, including the implementation of the gadget-use resolution that promotes focus and academic integrity. He also sponsored Resolution No. 07, Series of 2025, which imposes disciplinary measures for latecomers. Furthermore, he took part in major SSLG activities such as the Opening of Classes, Oath-Taking Ceremony, Principal’s Birthday Celebration, Leadership Training, Academy Week, and Teachers’ Day, ensuring that all expenses were properly reviewed and recorded.

Dubria detailed the SSLG’s financial reports, confirming that all funds were handled with honesty and accuracy. He expressed pride in the organization’s achievements, saying these reflect the values of discipline, responsibility, and integrity that define every Augustinian leader. As he concluded, he promised to continue performing his duties with the same dedication and passion — ensuring that the SSLG remains a model of honest leadership and student empowerment.

“Peace is more than the absence of chaos—it is the presence of compassion, respect, and equality.” These powerful words from Benedict Gutierrez, the Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG) Protocol Officer, captured the heart of his message during the first semester address. Gutierrez reflected on his journey as a student leader, sharing that true leadership is built not on authority, but on patience, humility, and service to others.

He emphasized the importance of self-awareness and inner peace, quoting Itachi Uchiha, Albert Einstein, and Buddha to inspire students to lead with understanding and empathy. Gutierrez highlighted that peace begins within each person — by recognizing one’s worth and using it to promote harmony and kindness in the school community.

Throughout his message, Gutierrez reminded Augustinian that teamwork and respect create unity, while communication and compassion solve conflicts better than force. His words served as a gentle reminder that true peace starts in our hearts and radiates through our actions, strengthening the Augustinian values of love, understanding, and service.

“We promise to continue serving with integrity, unity, and accountability.” These were the concluding words of Kathleen Chenina G. Bulaoro, Secretary of the Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG) for S.Y. 2025–2026, as she presented the Minutes of Meetings and Accomplishment Report for the first semester. Her report covered the series of meetings held from June to October 2025, where officers discussed upcoming activities, policy reviews, and preparations for major school events.

The SSLG successfully conducted and participated in numerous programs and projects such as Dagyaw Eskwela, Leadership Training Seminar, Linggo ng Kabataan Night, Oath-Taking Ceremony, Academy Week, Teachers’ Day Celebration, and SOLGA. The organization also implemented resolutions that promoted cleanliness, discipline, punctuality, and environmental awareness, including the use of personal trash bottles, “No Tupperware, No Entry” policy, and random bag inspections.

Bulaoro also shared the SSLG’s upcoming initiatives — from Transparency Boards and school facility improvements to anti-smoking campaigns, road safety drives, and a free haircut program. She expressed gratitude to the school administration, advisers, and students for their support and cooperation, reaffirming the SSLG’s dedication to lead with purpose and uphold the Augustinian spirit of service and excellence.

According to Ema, the SSLG allocated and spent funds on several major events such as the Opening of Classes, Oath-Taking Ceremony, Principal’s Birthday Celebration, Leadership Training, Academy Week, and Teacher’s Day.
