PH rep is semifinalist at English Speaking Union International Public Speaking Competition 2026 in London, UK
Mohammad Hizam S. Tuan, a freshman from the University of the Philippines – Cebu, finishes as semi-finalist at this year’s competition held on 13-17 July 2026.
Organized annually by the English-Speaking Union, this year’s competition gathered forty-five young and talented speakers aged 16-20, each representing their own country or region, for a week of cultural exchange and public speaking contests.
This global platform presents students the opportunity to build confidence, sharpen critical thinking and cultural understanding, and broaden their horizons, while fostering international connections and friendships.
Coming from General Santos City, Hizam bested more than forty other contestants from all over the country to represent the Philippines during the National Search for the Philippine Champion held on 5 December 2025 at De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde.
Congratulations, Hizam!
