🚴 Join Padyak Kontra Pax Silica! 🚴
Calling all cyclists, bike groups, environmental advocates, communities, organizations, and concerned citizens: ride with us against Pax Silica!
Padyak Kontra Pax Silica is a two-day advocacy bike ride from Manila to Capas, Tarlac, taking place on September 26-27, 2026. The activity will combine cycling, public information, community engagement, and solidarity to help make the concerns surrounding the proposed Pax Silica and Economic Security Zone more understandable and widely known.
The Marcos Jr. administration is positioning the Philippines as a key destination for semiconductor manufacturing, critical minerals processing, and AI infrastructure through Pax Silica. But behind the promise of technological and economic “progress” are questions that cannot be ignored: Whose land will be used? Whose water and energy will be consumed? Whose livelihoods will be displaced? And who ultimately benefits?
As the country is opened up to resource-intensive and aggressive projects, we cannot allow communities and the environment to bear the costs while corporations reap the profits.
