WE DESERVE BETTER!

Lumabas, magparehistro, at bumoto!

The official campaign period will run from May 7 to May 9, 2026, providing candidates the opportunity to present their platforms, advocacies, and proposed programs to the student body. During this period, candidates are encouraged to engage with students responsibly, promote fair and ethical campaigning, and uphold the values of integrity, respect, and leadership throughout the electoral process.

Students are likewise encouraged to participate actively, listen to the visions and plans of each candidate, and exercise their right to vote wisely in the upcoming student elections. The campaign period serves as an important avenue for informed decision-making and meaningful democratic participation within the university community.

The Pasig City Youth Development Office (PCYDO), in coordination with the Pasig City Youth Development Council (PCYDC), convened a strategic meeting with representatives from Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Pasig (PLP), including the Student Success Office and the Supreme Student Council, to strengthen youth engagement and leadership development. The discussion focused on expanding opportunities for student leaders through the registration of PLP student organizations under the Localized Youth Organization Registration Program (YORP) of the City Government of Pasig.

This initiative is anchored on Republic Act No. 10742, which institutionalizes youth participation in governance and mandates the establishment of YORP to recognize and accredit youth organizations. Through registration, PLP organizations may access leadership trainings, technical assistance, networking opportunities, and potential funding support, while also enhancing their legitimacy and participation in local youth policy-making processes.

Present during the meeting were Ms. Arvie Salosa of PCYDO, Mr. Rosken R. Casiano of PCYDC, Ms. Anna Lee Baguio and Ms. Arlene Y. Daniel of the Student Success Office, and Bryan Sanson, President of the PLP Supreme Student Council and PCYDC Committee Chair. The dialogue underscored a strengthened collaboration between the city government and PLP in empowering student leaders and advancing inclusive youth development initiatives.
