✨UNITE FOR GOOD✨
🩸 Strengthening the Lifeline: A Global Partnership for Humanitarian Care
True service knows no borders. On December 19, 2025, the Rotary Club of Pasig North, led by its President, GP Allan Rivera, and supported by the leadership of District Governor Gina Sanchez of Rotary District 3800, successfully held a turnover ceremony for a state-of-the-art Refrigerated Centrifuge to the Philippine Red Cross Rizal Chapter. In a historic partnership with the Rotary Club of Jeonju-Poongnam, this Global Grant project stands as a testament to what we can achieve when nations unite to enhance laboratory services and provide critical humanitarian care for those in need.
This equipment serves as a vital pillar in our local healthcare system, specifically designed to support life-saving laboratory services and humanitarian care. The Refrigerated Centrifuge is essential for high-level blood processing, spinning whole blood at high speeds to separate it into life-saving components like platelets, plasma, and red blood cells. What makes this 5.7-million-peso equipment so critical is its ability to maintain precise, chilled temperatures during this intense process; without this cooling feature, the friction from the high speeds would generate heat that could damage or destroy sensitive blood cells. By preserving the integrity of every drop at the highest possible quality, we are ensuring that patients—whether they are undergoing major surgeries, battling chronic illnesses, or facing traumatic emergencies—receive the most effective and reliable medical products exactly when they need them most.
We were truly honored to have distinguished leaders share their insights and gratitude during this event. The ceremony featured an inspiring Message from the Donor delivered by District Governor Gina Sanchez, who spoke beautifully about the heart of Rotary service. Dr. Roberto R. Dacles (Chapter Administrator) then formally introduced the Donors and Partners, highlighting the immense strength of our collaboration. This was followed by Dir. Pilar Tan-Lee (Treasurer and Board of Directors of the Philippine Red Cross), who shared her remarks on the importance of this partnership for the Red Cross mission. We were also privileged to hear a message from PDG Fabie Enriquez, whose leadership continues to inspire our humanitarian efforts. To conclude the ceremony, Dr. Gwendolyn T. Pang (Secretary General) led the Acceptance of Donation on behalf of the Philippine Red Cross, emphasizing the profound impact this equipment will have in saving countless lives.
Our deepest gratitude goes to the Rotary Club of Jeonju-Poongnam and all our members and supporters. Your dedication is the driving force behind this Global Grant success. Together, we are providing more than just equipment—we are providing hope and a higher standard of care for our community.
