Truth matters. Press freedom protects it. 🕊️

This World Press Freedom Day, we stand in solidarity with journalists and media practitioners who uphold truth, accountability, and the people’s right to information. A free and independent press is essential in building peaceful societies, driving sustainable development, and safeguarding human rights.

However, global reports highlight a concerning reality—press freedom continues to decline, with rising cases of misinformation, self-censorship, and threats against journalists. In an era shaped by rapidly evolving technology, including AI, the fight for truthful and reliable information becomes even more critical.

Now more than ever, we must protect the spaces where truth can thrive. By supporting ethical journalism, promoting media literacy, and defending freedom of expression, we help shape a future grounded in trust, transparency, and peace.

The Pasig City Youth Development Council calls on every young Pasigueño to be vigilant, informed, and responsible in sharing information. Together, let us champion truth and empower voices that matter.

Our planet is calling—will we answer? 🌍

This April 22, we commemorate International Mother Earth Day, a powerful reminder that our actions shape the future of our planet. From rising temperatures to plastic-filled oceans and disappearing forests, nature is sending us a clear message: the time to act is now.

Human activities continue to put immense pressure on our environment—but we also hold the power to restore it. By protecting our ecosystems, we protect life itself. A healthier Earth means stronger communities, sustainable livelihoods, and a better future for generations to come.

The Pasig City Youth Development Council calls on every young Pasigueño to be part of the solution. Let us embrace sustainable practices, raise our voices for the environment, and work together in harmony with nature.

Because caring for the Earth is not just a responsibility—it is a commitment to life. 🌱

Creativity fuels solutions. Innovation drives progress.

This April 21, we celebrate World Creativity and Innovation Day—a global reminder that creativity goes beyond art; it is a powerful tool for problem-solving, nation-building, and sustainable development. From addressing social issues to advancing economic growth, innovative thinking empowers us to shape a better future for all.

As highlighted by the United Nations and UNESCO, creativity reflects who we are and what we value as a society. It strengthens cultural diversity, drives industries forward, and opens opportunities for inclusive growth—especially for the youth.

Today, the Pasig City Youth Development Council calls on every young Pasigueño to harness their creativity, share their ideas, and take part in building solutions that matter. Because in every bold idea lies the potential to transform communities and create lasting impact.
