Hello, MYGAD Fam!
We hope you're all doing well and staying safe.
Recently, we've seen the rumors and conversations circulating on social media, and we believe it's time to clear the air and speak from the heart. As officers of MYGAD (Manggahan Youth for Gender and Development), we want to make it very clear that we are not in any way connected to the issues currently being talked about online. We remain firm in our values, and we continue to stand for what we believe in.
From the beginning, MYGADโs mission has always been rooted in spreading love, promoting inclusivity, empowering the unheard, and standing up for justiceโespecially for those who continue to face discrimination, inequality, and marginalization in society. These are the values we hold close and will never compromise.
After much reflection, we, the MYGAD officers, have made a collective decision to formally and respectfully disassociate ourselves from the Manggahan Youth Movement. While we appreciate the history and experiences we've had, we believe it's time for a fresh startโone that aligns more closely with the values we live by every day.
Starting today, we will move forward as an independent organization, committed even more strongly to our advocacy. We believe in healing, not harming; building, not breaking; and spreading love, not hate.
To everyone who has supported us through thick and thin, thank you for believing in our purpose. We ask for your continued support as we turn this new chapter. Our mission remains the sameโbut this time, weโre moving forward with even clearer vision and stronger hearts.
With love and sincerity,
Dionna Jean Castillo
