TODAY'S STORY: NAPAN MANEN TI KARAYAN

This morning, Tatay went to the river again.

He said he needs to check his animals. 'Kitaek man dagiti pastor ko ijay karayan'.

But the truth is, we haven't had animals for a long time. No carabao. No cows. Nothing.

That's the hardest part of Alzheimer's.

He will go. He will come back. And after a few minutes, he will forget. Then he will go again. Mapan manen!

Sometimes, if I'm being honest, nakakaasar na. You get tired. You get frustrated. You want to say, "Tatay, awan nga nabayagen ti pastor un! Wala nang alaga dun!"

But then you see his feet. Full of mud. His hands holding his old tools. His eyes, looking for something that only he can still see.

And your anger turns into awa. Into pity. Into love.

Because he's not being stubborn. He's not doing it to annoy us. He just really forgot. His memory is gone, but his heart as a farmer is still alive.

He lives in the old days, when he was still strong, when his animals were waiting for him by the river.

What can we do? Awan ti mabalin tayo. We cannot bring his memory back.

All we can do is have 'anos'. Patience. Long patience. Anos laeng nga talaga.

So we let him go. We watch him from afar. We make sure he is safe. And when he comes back, we welcome him again. And when he goes again, we let him go again.

This is the life with Alzheimer's. It's a cycle of forgetting and going. It's tiring, it's painful, but it's also a story of love.

Because we will remember for him. Even if he forgets a hundred times, we will be there a hundred times.

To summarize my learnings and takeaways po sa ating Worship Service ay:

Ang buong diin: Takot sa Dios = Pagsunod sa nakasulat. Kasi kinasihan ng Dios ang Biblia, hindi yan sulat lang ng tao. Kaya pagsumikapan na matupad.

At natuto tayo na huwag hihigit sa nakasulat. Kung ano nakalagay, sundin - yun ang safe side.

Kaya may mga bagay na iiwasan tayo - karumihan, kalasingan, kahalayan - kasi dahil dyan dumarating ang kagalitan ng Dios sa mga anak ng pagsuway.

Kaya imbes na makipagtalo pa sa interpretasyon o opinyon ng iba, mas piliin na lang nating sumunod sa kung ano ang literal na nakasulat para walang pagsisisi sa araw ng kahatulan.

At sa huli, magpalakasan tayo - 1 Tesalonica 5:11 “mangagpangaralan kayo at mangagpatibayan kayo sa isa't isa.”

Mula po dito sa locale ng Urdaneta City, Pangasinan, bumabati po ako ng AYAT 💞...

HE WENT BACK TO THE FIELD AGAIN. (Napan Manen Taltalon)

This is Tatay Benson's foot.

A foot covered in mud.
A foot that never got tired of walking under the scorching sun and heavy rain.
A foot that worked hard so his family could eat.
A foot that knows the field more than it knows rest.

A foot still full of mud, even when he is no longer in the field.

Alzheimer's may be slowly taking his memories away. He may forget names, he may forget what day it is, he may forget where he is.

But his heart never forgets the field.

He still wakes up and looks for his animals.
He still talks about the farm, the soil, the carabao, the cow...
He still thinks he needs to go to the taltalon, always...

Because farming is not just what he did - it's who he is.

The body gets tired. The memory fades. But the love of a hardworking father never disappears.

Tatay Benson may forget many things, but we will never forget what those muddy feet did for us.

Those feet walked through hardship so we could walk an easier path.

That mud is not dirt. That is his life. That is his sacrifice.

If you still have a father who remembers the field more than he remembers today, hug him tight. Sit with him. Listen to his old stories again and again.

Tuklasin ang mga aral ng ating Panginoong Jesucristo sa MCGI Mass Indoctrination | September 21, 2026 sa ganap na 7 PM PHT...

JUAN 3:3-5

Sumagot si Jesus at sa kaniya'y sinabi, Katotohanan, katotohanang sinasabi ko sa iyo, Maliban na ang tao'y ipanganak na muli, ay hindi siya makakakita ng kaharian ng Dios.

Sinabi sa kaniya ni Nicodemo, Paanong maipanganganak ang tao kung siya'y matanda na? makapapasok baga siyang bilang ikalawa sa tiyan ng kaniyang ina, at ipanganak?

Sumagot si Jesus, Katotohanan, katotohanang sinasabi ko sa iyo, Maliban na ang tao'y ipanganak ng tubig at ng Espiritu, ay hindi siya makapapasok sa kaharian ng Dios.

Samahan ninyo po kami sa pagbubukas ng panibagong sesyon ng Mass Indoctrination sa darating na Lunes, ika-21 ng Setyembre 2026, alas-7 ng gabi (Philippine Standard Time).

Sa loob ng 14 na araw, kung loloobin ng Panginoon, tuklasin po natin ang tunay na aral ng Banal na Kasulatan tungkol sa pagiging kapatid kay Cristo sa pamamagitan ng pag-unawa at pagsunod sa kalooban ng Dios. Matuto po tayo mula sa mga turo na ipinag-utos ng ating Panginoong Jesucristo na ituro.

Ang mga sesyon ay gaganapin tuwing Lunes hanggang Biyernes, alas-7 ng gabi. Maaari po ninyong panoorin ang mga sesyon sa official MCGI social media accounts o sa pagbisita sa pinakamalapit na MCGI Coordinating Center.
