We are happy to share that Burp has finally been brought to her foster home. We also have a few remaining COS OG community cats still looking for their forever homes. If you’re interested in adopting, please send us a message. Giving a rescued cat a chance means giving them a new life.

Burp, one of the few Satori cats who survived last year’s heartbreaking “disappearances,” is finally out of the vet. She’s eating well, recovering beautifully, and is now ready to find a loving home. 🏠

𝐏𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐒𝐄 𝐅𝐎𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐑/𝐀𝐃𝐎𝐏𝐓 𝐇𝐄𝐑. We’ve been searching for a home for her for over a year, but until now, no one has come forward. 💔 She deserves the chance to experience the love and safety of a family. 😭

Today, Burp finally underwent her long-overdue dental procedure. After evaluation, the vet found that almost all of her molars were already severely damaged. Three teeth required surgical extraction, while the rest were removed through simple extraction. Despite everything she has been through, our brave girl made it through the procedure. 🙏❤️

The veterinarian also noticed an area of concern on her gums near the palate, which they will continue to observe and reassess as she heals.

Burp is underweight and currently suffering from painful dental disease that requires dental prophylaxis and tooth extraction. Her mouth condition makes eating uncomfortable, which affects her recovery and weight gain.

Every donation, no matter how small, will help her continue fighting toward a healthier and pain-free life.

Burp has already fought through so much. Last year, she was diagnosed with several illnesses. A few days ago, we finally received the news we were hoping for:

✅ FeLV NEGATIVE
✅ FIV NEGATIVE
✅ Calicivirus NEGATIVE

This adorable creature survived, but her journey is not over yet. Her latest tests also showed a very high SDMA kidney marker. According to the vet, this may also be connected to her ongoing dental condition and chronic inflammation, making it even more important for her to receive treatment as soon as possible.

After months of fighting illness, Burp finally received some encouraging test results (See attached photos):

✅ FeLV NEGATIVE
✅ FIV NEGATIVE
✅ Calicivirus NEGATIVE

She has survived so much already, and we are incredibly thankful for this progress.

However, her latest tests also showed a very high SDMA kidney marker, meaning her kidneys are under significant stress and she urgently needs proper nutrition, monitoring, hydration, and a low-stress recovery environment.

Burp is only 2.3kg right now and still needs help getting her strength and healthy weight back.

Our sweet girl Burp desperately needs a foster home.

Burp used to be a community cat in Satori — loved by a few kind people who looked after her as best they could. But eventually, she was forced to leave the place she once called home. Since then, her condition has worsened, and right now, she is not in the best shape. We are struggling to give her the consistent care she truly needs.

Last April 10, Burp had a full medical check-up. The results broke our hearts. She tested POSITIVE for several infections: Giardia, FeLV, and Calicivirus. She now requires continuous treatment, medication, close monitoring, proper nutrition, and a safe, stress-free environment to help her fight and recover.

Burp is now painfully thin, and her fur is starting to fall off because of how weak and sick she has become. Seeing her like this is devastating. She is currently on vitamins, supplements, and a special diet, but without a committed foster, her recovery will be much harder.

We are urgently looking for someone with a kind heart willing to foster her temporarily or long-term. Even just giving her a quiet, safe space could change everything for her.

Last year, we experienced the heartbreaking disappearance of 13 cats from the property. Following this, we made the difficult but necessary choice to remove the remaining cats to keep them safe.

Since then, their journeys have taken different paths. Some of the cats have found loving homes through adoption, some remain under our direct care, and a few are still out there since they are too elusive to be safely trapped. We also continue to receive messages that some kind-hearted residents look after them whenever possible.

Two of the cats we took into our direct care are Burp and Minchin. They are from the original colony we used to manage, and both are spayed and vaccinated.

Your donations have helped support their medical needs and daily care. Burp is still bravely battling a viral infection and continues to need treatment and support. Minchin, on the other hand, has sadly passed away a few weeks ago. We are deeply grateful that we were able to give her care, comfort, and love in her final days.
