After a powerful earthquake affected communities in Malapatan, Anessa T. Maguan saw firsthand how deeply the crisis affected young children, their families, and the Child Development Workers caring for them.

Through ChildFund's partnership with the Municipality of Malapatan and Ha Uman, CDWs gained the skills and support needed to help children heal and recover, while also caring for their own well-being.

Today, Anessa is championing stronger ECCD programs to ensure children receive the support they need before, during, and after emergencies.

The strength of recovery often begins with mothers. When mothers are supported, families can continue moving forward. ๐Ÿคฑ

In Malapatan, Sarangani, we met Norbaina and her three-month-old daughter, Sara (not her real name).

Amid the uncertainty left by the earthquake, Norbaina continues to do what mothers do every day: care, protect, and keep moving forward.

Through ChildFund and Canva Foundation's emergency response, in partnership with the Municipality of Malapatan, Sarangani Province, 300 families received multi-purpose cash assistance to help them in recovery.

For Norbaina, that means one less thing to worry about and more time to focus on baby Sara. ๐Ÿ’š
