Meet the Eco-Scouts! Youth leaders under ChildFund Philippines and XAES Foundation Inc. ’s Environmental and Community Resilience and Sustainability (ECRS) Program, who are actively protecting and nurturing their mangrove forest in Zamboanga del Norte.

Together with fellow Eco-Scouts, these young leaders care for the mangroves as part of a locally led environmental preservation effort, showing how children and youth participation strengthens community resilience and safeguards ecosystems for generations to come.

Learning doesn’t stop, and online safety is part of the lesson. 🌐

We’re excited to announce the launch of Digi PACT and the Pro Digital LOOP Lesson Guides, teacher developed and MATATAG aligned learning materials that support Math, English, and Science while helping learners build safe and responsible digital habits.

Through the Pro Digital LOOP Project, ChildFund Philippines and Gems Heart Outreach Dev't. Inc , in partnership with ChorUgusan for Children and DepEd Philippines Schools Division Office of Manila (SDO Manila), these materials integrate child online safety into everyday learning and will soon be available through the SDO Manila E Library, reaching over 10,000 learners across 10 public schools in Manila.

As Mr. Charlie O. Fababaer, Assistant Schools Division Superintendent of SDO Manila, shared, “Technology must be a tool for growth, not a gateway for harm.”

Partners from ChildFund Philippines, UNICEF Philippines, FACE, Inc., Ha Uman Association, Inc., and the Department of Health, together with local health offices and LGUs, gathered for the Program Implementation Review (PIR) of the RISE-REP CDS 3 Plus last February 24–25, 2026 at Eastwood Richmonde Hotel in Quezon City.

The PIR highlighted a 34% increase in Fully Immunized Child (FIC) coverage from 2024 to 2025 across the three priority intervention areas of RISE-REP CDS 3 Plus—Camarines Sur (Region V), Leyte (Region VIII), and the Special Geographic Areas in BARMM—surpassing the program target of a 20% increase.

Additionally, the program’s technical support enabled eight (8) of the 18 priority LGUs to secure funding for immunization through approved budgets or local policies. This reflects growing local government commitment to sustaining routine immunization efforts, demonstrating progress toward strengthening health systems and ensuring that gains in immunization coverage can be maintained beyond the duration of project support.

The review also served as a platform to reflect on how collaborative technical support—from August 2025 to February 2026—has helped strengthen routine immunization and health systems in priority intervention areas. It reminds us that lasting impact is made possible through partnership and collective action.

As we cap off our celebration of International Women’s Day, National Women’s Month, and Girl Child Week, we are pleased to share our webinar "𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲: 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗥𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀, 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀" held on March 26th in collaboration with the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) and our partners.

This session was top billed by Binibining Pilipinas Globe 2025, Annabelle McDonnell, who shared her moving personal “𝗝𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗮𝗻: 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘀, 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘁𝗵, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗲.” She was joined by experts from the 𝗣𝗖𝗪, led by Caryl Joyce Gatapia who provided a masterclass on “𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻’𝘀 𝗥𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 𝟭𝟬𝟭” and Ollie Baldemor from the 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗢𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗠𝗶𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗜𝗢𝗠-𝗨𝗡 𝗠𝗶𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻), who discussed “𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻’𝘀 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘁𝗵.”

We are proud to announce a landmark partnership between ChildFund Philippines, the Department of Education (DepEd Philippines), and the Dipolog City Government to institutionalize child protection across Zamboanga del Norte! 🤝💚

Through a newly signed Memorandum of Understanding, we are rolling out the 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗹-𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 (𝗘𝗣𝗪) 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 𝗠𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗹—a holistic approach that addresses the risks of violence facing school-aged children by engaging the entire ecosystem of support—including teachers, parents, and community leaders.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱?

📍 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆-𝘄𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗥𝗼𝗹𝗹-𝗼𝘂𝘁: 40 key mentors—including School Heads, Master Teachers, and Child Development Workers—are now ready to lead the program across Dipolog City after an intensive 5-day training.

📖 𝗦𝗘𝗟 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝗗𝗖𝗢𝗠 𝟮 𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁: We are integrating 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 (𝗦𝗘𝗟) into the curriculum to help children develop skills like self-awareness, perseverance, and emotional regulation necessary to thrive. This approach directly supports the EDCOM 2 - The Second Congressional Commission on Education national agenda by prioritizing learner well-being to improve educational outcomes.

🏠 𝗛𝗼𝗺𝗲-𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Through the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), we are equipping parents and caregivers with positive parenting tools and protective strategies to ensure children remain safe and supported both in and out of the classroom.
