Extending Nourishment to Families Affected by the Mayon Eruption! 🤝

Last May 7, Rise Against Hunger Philippines distributed rice-soy meal packs to 737 families in Brgy. Muladbucad Pequeño, Guinobatan, Albay as part of our humanitarian response efforts for communities affected by the recent Mayon Eruption.

We also distributed meal packs for the towns of Camalig and Ligao with the support of Globe Telecom volunteers on the ground, who facilitated the distribution to affected communities. Meanwhile, our team also proceeded to the town of Malilipot for the distribution of HELP boxes to families in need.

Honoring the mothers whose love and sacrifices help communities thrive! 💐💗

This Mother’s Day, we celebrate the mothers who stand at the heart of our mission. Those who volunteer their time in feeding programs, those in our partner communities who work tirelessly to provide for their families, and those mothers who continue to share compassion, care, and resilience with others.

Their sacrifices may often go unnoticed, but their love is felt in every meal prepared, every child cared for, and every community strengthened. They remind us that a mother’s courage and generosity can create lasting change and inspire hope even in the most difficult times.

Today, we honor them for their unwavering dedication that helps nourish lives and build stronger communities.

Happy Mother’s Day from Rise Against Hunger Philippines! 🌸✨

Stronger communities start with informed individuals 🙌

We conducted a Nutrition Education session yesterday at Better World Tondo, engaging 32 mothers and volunteers and equipping them with essential knowledge to better support their families and communities.

The session covered Basic Food Safety for Volunteer Food Handlers and Women’s Nutrition and Mental Health. These discussions highlighted the importance of food safety practices, as well as the holistic well-being of individuals in our communities.

Through initiatives like this, we continue to empower communities with the knowledge they need to nourish not only bodies, but also minds. 🤝
