Strengthening school feeding through stronger community partnerships! ✨

Last August 18, together with Angat Buhay and Mayor Leni Robredo, we inaugurated a central community kitchen for school feeding programs in Naga City!

This community kitchen will serve as a hub where nutritious meals are prepared and cooked before being delivered to partner schools for their feeding programs. This initiative also supports Angat Buhay’s health and nutrition initiatives, helping strengthen community-based solutions that promote better nutrition among children. 🤝💗

Our heartfelt thanks to Angat Buhay and Mayor Leni Robredo for this meaningful partnership and for continuing to work with us toward our collective goal of a Philippines! 🇵🇭

Continuing our journey to reach last-mile communities! 🙌✨

Last August 15, together with Amazon Philippines, One Million Lights, and Bukal ng Buhay Foundation, we reached the Aeta community in Barangay Patling, Capaz, Tarlac, bringing much-needed support as continuous rains make daily life more challenging for these families.

As part of the outreach, 350 school bags were distributed to Grade 1–6 students, along with 350 solar lamps and 500 grocery packs containing Rice-Soy meal packs, providing 1,500 individuals with essential support and children with resources for school.

The smiles and gratitude of the Aeta children and their families remind us why reaching last-mile communities matters. With this, we want to express our heartfelt thanks to Amazon Philippines, One Million Lights, and Bukal ng Buhay Foundation for making this meaningful outreach possible! 🤝💗

Support that meets communities where they are! 🚎🙌

Last August 15, we brought our Mobile Kitchen to Maybunga, Pasig, providing freshly prepared meals and immediate food support to the community!

Made possible through the generous support of Health Carousel Philippines Inc., the initiative also provided families with 5kg of rice, and canned goods donated by San Miguel Foundation, along with Ready-to-Use Supplementary Food (RTUSF) generously provided by AC Health-MedEthix, Inc. to help address immediate nutritional needs.

Bringing food support closer to communities affected by the floods. 🌧️🙌

With the continuous rains brought by the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat), many communities continue to face flooding and disruptions to their daily lives. In response, we partnered with the Bagumbong Person with Disability Associations Inc. in Caloocan to provide rice assistance to persons with disabilities affected by the recent flooding.

Despite the rainy weather last week, August 14, the distribution pushed through at the Caloocan Sports Complex, providing our PWD beneficiaries with 5kg of rice to help meet their immediate food needs during these challenging times.

Our heartfelt thanks to JTI Philippines for generously supporting this flood response initiative, and to the Bagumbong Person with Disability Associations Inc. for helping us organize and reach the community on the ground! 🤝💗

FROM OUR RESPONSE | Bringing HELP to families in Glan 🙌

Last July 22, we distributed 100 HELP Boxes to beneficiaries of the ERDA Foundation at Glan School of Arts and Trades in Glan, Sarangani, as part of our response to the recent earthquake.

While our disaster response operations have since been completed, we believe that documenting these moments allows us to recognize our collective effort and carry forward the lessons from communities we have served.

The HELP Box distribution provided essential support to learners and families as they continued to recover from the impact of the earthquake and flooding in the area.

Our heartfelt thanks to Amazon Philippines, the generous donor of the HELP Boxes, as well as ERDA Foundation, Glan School of Arts and Trades, and all our partners who stood with affected communities throughout the response! 🤝💗

400 young learners, one shared commitment to better nutrition! 🙌📚

We officially signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) and kicked off our Dietary Supplementation Program (DSP) at Rene Cayetano Elementary School in North Caloocan, bringing nutritious meals closer to 400 students last August 3!

Made possible through the generous support of Amway Philippines, this initiative will help provide learners with the nourishment they need. But more than providing meals, this DSP strengthens our shared commitment to improving child nutrition and creating healthier learning communities.

No community is too far when it comes to fighting hunger! 🙌💗

At Rise Against Hunger Philippines, our commitment to Indigenous Peoples extends far beyond a single day of celebration. Throughout the year, we have journeyed to some of the country's most remote communities to ensure that no one is left behind in the fight against hunger.

In Baco, Oriental Mindoro, we hiked for nearly an hour and crossed a river to reach the Mangyan community at Malmis Elementary School. We also extended our outreach to Mangyan communities in Paluan, Occidental Mindoro, delivering fortified Rice-Soy meals and essential donations alongside our partners.

In Palawan, we expanded our Dietary Supplementation Program to Macarascas Elementary School, Baruang Elementary School, Tanabag Elementary School, Maoyon Elementary School, and partner Child Development Centers, where many of the learners we serve belong to the Tagbanua and Batak communities.

Our nutrition initiatives also continued in the remote communities of Kiangan, Ifugao, where our Dietary Supplementation Program continues to nourish the lives of Igorot children. Following the recent Mindanao earthquake, we also brought relief assistance to T'boli communities in Lake Sebu, South Cotabato, as well as B'laan communities in Alabel, Sarangani, and General Santos City, helping families recover with food and other essential support. Earlier this year, we also had the privilege of serving Aeta communities in Tarlac, bringing nutritious meals and hope closer to Indigenous families.

These journeys remind us that every mile traveled brings us closer to a future where all communities, regardless of geography or circumstance, have the opportunity to thrive.

As we join the global observance of the International Day of the World's Indigenous Peoples, we celebrate not only the rich cultures and traditions of Indigenous communities, but also their resilience. More importantly, we reaffirm our commitment to walking alongside them in building healthier, more resilient, and hunger-free communities.

Let us continue ensuring that no community is ever too far to reach! 🤝

Together, we responded. Together, we made an impact! 🤝

As we conclude our Mindanao Earthquake Disaster Response, we look back with gratitude at what we have accomplished together for the thousands of families affected by the disaster.

With the unwavering support of our donors, partners, volunteers, and advocates, we mobilized:

₱5,661,061.19 in total donations
₱2,840,000.00 worth of in-kind donations
₱2,821,061.19 in cash donations

Together, these contributions enabled us to reach:

41,660 affected individuals
10,161 food packs distributed
10 organizations mobilized and supported

Our response reached communities across General Santos City, Davao City, Davao Occidental, Sarangani, and South Cotabato, delivering food, clean water, hygiene supplies, sleeping essentials, and other critical relief items to families as they recovered and rebuilt.

To everyone who stood with us during this response, a heartfelt thank you. To our generous donors: Amazon Philippines, Monde Nissin, Factset, Century Pacific, JPMorganChase, JTI Philippines, and Eaton, you all proved that no challenge is too great when people unite with a shared purpose.

While this marks the close of our Mindanao Earthquake Disaster Response, our mission to nourish lives and respond to communities in need continues.
