HLAF together with the Master Choa Kok Sui (MCKS) Caring Heart Foundation handed over a donation of two sewing Machines to the Imus City Jail Female dormitory on February 19, 2025
This initiative is part of HLAF's ongoing efforts to enhance the livelihood programs of persons deprived of liberty (PDLs) by providing them with tools and opportunities for skills development. The donation aims to support PDLs in learning income-generating skills that will serve as a productive activity during their time inside and will aid in their reintegration into society upon release.
Expressing her gratitude, Imus City Jail Female Dormitory Warden JSINSP ARNELA D TOLEDO acknowledged the timely donation, stating, โThank you to HLAF for this generous support. This comes at the perfect time, as we have a sewing training scheduled. Now, our PDLs will have the equipment they need to participate and develop valuable skills.โ
The donation is another step toward empowering PDLs, equipping them with meaningful activities that can help them stay productive and engaged while inside the jail.
